I'M hoping we get off to a flyer with the Champions League crunch between Benfica and Chelsea.
Chelsea reached this stage with a sparkling comeback against Napoli that might have not been possible without the away goal they scored in Italy.
So the Blues know the importance of hitting the target and have in fact scored in all of their Champions League matches this season, including away to Valencia, Genk, Leverkusen and Napoli – none of which have been won.
Benfica are always strong at home but don't travel as well so will feel they need to win in Lisbon. They beat Zenit 2-0 at home in the last round and it would be a huge surprise if Chelsea kept them out.
Next I'm trying the only game on the Scottish card, Dundee v Ayr. The home side should be able to play with a degree off freedom as they simply try to finish as high up the table as possible.
For Ayr it's about picking up points to stay clear of the drop zone and on their travels they have been impressive. The Honest Men have netted two at Raith and Livingston on their last two trips while six of Dundee's last seven have featured both scoring.
My third choice is Peterborough v West Ham in the Championship. Darren Ferguson's side usually score and it was a surprise when they didn't at Barnsley at the weekend but their last two at London Road have been impressive 3-1 wins against Reading and Blackpool.
They'll be right up for a visit from the Hammers whose last five have matches have been score draws. They battled back from 2-0 down at Burnley at the weekend to grab a point and have plenty of attacking options.
My final two choices come from the Blue Square Premier and they're the matches at Braintree and Ebbsfleet, two sides have been good friends to this market.
Braintree and Southport have both scored in their last six and although Southport aren't as prolific as the hosts the side they are visiting don't keep many clean sheets.
Ebbsfleet and Alfreton drew 2-2 earlier in the season and Alfreton's last two have totalled 12 goals. There have been 24 goals in Ebbsfleet's last six matches.
- Benfica v Chelsea
- Ayr v Dundee
- Peterborough v West Ham
- Braintree v Southport
- Ebbsfleet v Alfreton

Looking at a btts treble was thinking Leicester mk dons and Peterborough what your thoughts guys???
Matt, give it a go as you anything can happen with this bet. Wise to keep selections down as last midweek there were more no to both teams to score than yes.
Paul, if I was going to bet big on one of these suggestions what would your recommendation be?
Cheers
Peterborough v West Ham is probably the one I’d go for but my preference would be take a game from the weekend where there is more choice if you’re going big. Right, guys it’s scorching up here. My tips are up and I’m hitting the golf course. Will check the comments later.
I was reading racing post yesterday and they were saying that lately league 1 and league 2 the goals were down probably due to high number of games teams are playing. Teams are getting tired so not scoring as much
John, I read that too but remember it can go the other way. If defenders are tired then will they not make mistakes that lead to goals.
Thats true mate. Love the site too mate.
Thanks John. Hopefully we’ll get some good results on a trick card tonight.
