ENGLAND, Scotland, Wales and the two Irelands all face tough World Cup qualifiers as most countries play the second part of their double header.

Group H is shaping up to be a battle between Montenegro and England and Roy Hodgson's men can take a giant stride towards the finals with a win. It won't be easy against a side who held them at Wembley but I'll be on the away at 5-6 with Paddy Power.

Both sides won last Friday but Montenegro made hard work of a 1-0 victory in Moldova while the English rattled eight past poor San Marino.

England look in decent shape and have the ability to edge a win but safest bet could be both teams to score at 11-10 with Coral. Montenegro have class acts up front in Stevan Jovetic and Mirko Vucinic, who netted in Moldova, and their battle with makeshift centre-half pairing Chris Smalling and Joleon Lescott could decide this one.

I'd rather have both teams to score than England at a biggest 5-6 at William Hill while the home side are as big as 4-1 with William Hill and others.

Scotland were woeful in parts as they crashed 2-1 at home to Wales and bookies expect them to lose against in Serbia, with BetVictor going a biggest21-4. The Serbs walloped Wales 6-1 at home but haven't scored in their other four qualifers which is a worry.

However, the confidence of Gordon Strachan's side took a dunt on Friday and the new boss will be without injured Steven Fletcher, banned Robert Snodgrass and now Kris Commons who has gone home on compassionate leave.

Jordan Rhodes, without a goal in his last four outings for Blackburn, will lea the line and I can see Serbia nicking it in a low scorer. Under 2.5 goals looks on an I might take a risk on under 1.5 at 11-5 with BetVictor.

Wales were delighted with their display in Glasgow but Gareth Bale contributed little before going off at half-time suffering the effects of a virus and Aaron Ramsey is banned after being sent off at Hampden.

If Bale isn't 100 per cent they could really struggle against the Croats. The Welsh defended was exposed at times by Scotland and the Croats have better players who will punish the. Take the away at 8-11 (various) and consider Bayern Munich star Mario Mandzukic at 6-4 at BetVictor to score.

Also in Group A Belgium entertain Macedonia four days after beating them away. They are no bigger than 2-9 so we'll need to look at the handicaps with minus one 5-6 with 888sport.

Republic of Ireland busted a few coupons with a battling 0-0 draw in Sweden and should follow up beating Austria in Dublin despite the loss of skipper Robbie Keane. The Irish are 6-5 at William Hill to get their show on the road and keep the pressure on second-placed Sweden.

Northern Ireland will hope their pitch gets the go ahead for the Israel match and if it does they could be heading for a third home draw out of three. Israel were unlucky not to beat Portugal on Friday but don't travel so well and could struggle on what is likely to be a gluepot of a surface.

As usual with internationals fancied teams such as Germany, Italy and Holland are priced up short so look to the likes of Denmark v Bulgaria and Czech Republic at Armenia for value.

The Danes produced one of the results of the night last week to win 3-0 away to the Czechs and are 4-6 at Ladbrokes and other to beat a Bulgaria side who have started the campaign well thanks to four home games out of five.

Armenia are perennial strugglers with little goal threat but will battle hard. A Czech win at 1-1 with William Hill and BetVictor is likely.

Biggest game of the night is France v Spain and a home win at 5-2 with BetVictor will put the French in control of Group I and five points clear of their main rivals.

It's possible but the Spanish will be hurting after Friday's draw at home to Finland so France draw no bet is safer at 29-20 at BetVictor.

Later tonight there are several South American qualifers with Argentina facing a tough trip to Bolivia and Colombia travelling to Venezuela. The one that stands out is Uruguay who are a best 23-10 at BetVictor away to Chile.

Chile are on a dire run, having lost six of their last seven qualifiers, and it's so bad I hear they're thinking about arranging a friendly with Scotland. Uruguay need a win to stay on track for the finals and with Luis Suarez and Edinson Cavani in tow they should get it. You can take out some of the risk with draw no bet at 7-5 with BetVictor.

    Good looking tips Paul.

I think I’ll roll them all up but change Uruguay to Draw no Bet as they havent had the greatest of campaigns to date either.

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Willie, no doubt Uruguay need a win but Chile are poor. As I said it’s Uruguay or Uruguay draw no bet, depending on the risk you want to take.

It is a tricky one to predict true enough- I’ve took it as a draw as Chile haven’t managed one at home in the campaign as yet. Uruguay always struggle to qualify- last time they won a play-off and look where they finished in the World Cup. They are a good price touight but I’ve no dough-re-mi until payday.

You cant be serious surely when you call Armenia perennial strugglers who have little goal threat? They were the top scorers in their Euro qualifying group scoring more than Ireland, Russia, Slovakia and Macedonia. BTTS is 21/20 @ Hills and over 2.5 is 13/10. Double that with either BTTS (6/4)or overs (4/5) in the azerbaijan game and thats a juicy double to give you a better pot for the evening kick offs.

Ross, that’s the one campaign they’ve been half decent, apart from that they’ve been poor. This campaign their only points have come from a 1-0 win in Malta. I won’t be on Armenia btts but having said that any game can produce goals.

Fair point. In general Armenia (to me anyway) seem to be a team on the up, but with international football literally anything can happen. Goals market and small stakes on some upsets for me tonight!

Armenia goal chopped off in the 85th minute…one of those nights i think!

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Ross, you were unlucky there. I see the Watford boy Vydra scored the first two for the Czechs. Championship Player of the Year too.

    Recieved vouchers for cheltenham
    tipster comp. Thanks Paul.
I always do bets online for last 4
years. However went with voucher to do
Uruguay at 23/10 which were the odds online(w/hill)
and could only get 19/10 in the shop(w/hill)
    very disapointing.

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Graham, unfortunately shop prices are usually worse. That’s why we mainly bet online.
