BLACKPOOL are a strange lot. I've won money backing them this season but recently they've struggled at home.
Barring defeat at Everton in the FA Cup when Ian Holloway fielded a weakened team, the Tangerines have rammed in exactly three goals in their last three visits to Bristol City, Doncaster and Sheffield Wednesday in the FA Cup.
But at home it's been a different story with a 4-1 doing by West Ham following a 1-1 draw against crisis-hit Portsmouth.
Hull are equally puzzling. Two of their last three home games have ended 0-0 against Brighton and Doncaster but away from home they had an impressive 0-0 draw at Birmingham and 1-0 victory at Reading.
On the face of it a team struggling at home against one doing well away should add up three points for Hull but I'm not sure.
The fact they have scored in one of their last five matches worries me although they have kept five clean sheets in six.
A draw could be the best way to go and that pays a biggest 12-5 at BetVictor. Blackpool are 6-5 with William Hill and others with the Tigers 13-5 at bet365 and Blue Square.
Blackpool have signed Robbie Fowler but he isn't match fit so are likely to start with Kevin Phillips up top and he and Scotland new boy Matt Phillips are 6-1 with bet365 to hit the opener. I'd side with veteran Kev.
Recommendation
Draw
(12-5, BetVictor)
