MAN UNITED have struggled to beat poor sides recently and I don't see them taking care of Arsenal tonight.

Louis van Gaal's men remain in the Premier League top four but wins such as the midweek one at Newcastle have been solid rather than spectacular.

Maybe the Dutchman will try to play “the Man Utd way” next season but for now it's about results and one loss in 10 shows the Old Trafford men are tough to beat.

Arsenal are a bit more easy on the eye but prone to some being turned over as they were by Monaco in the Champions League.

Their record against United is poor – six defeats in a row at Old Trafford and they went down at the Emirates earlier this season. Head-to-head favours United, form is on Arsenal's side – so for me it could be a draw at 5-2 with McBookie and BetVictor.

Bookies rate United favourites with BetVictor and William Hill offering a best 6-4 while the same firms are a biggest 2-1 on the Gunners.

That's good news if you believe Arsenal will avoid defeat as draw no bet you can have 11-10 with bet365 and BetVictor.

Robin van Persie misses out against his former side through injury so best chance of a United goal could come from Wayne Rooney who is 5-1 at William Hill to break the deadlock.

Oliver Giroud has banged in five goals in five games while Alexis Sanchez ended a run of seven appearances without a goal against QPR in midweek. Giroud is 21-10 at Ladbrokes to score with Sanchez 23-10 at McBookie.

Seven of the last nine meetings between the sides have been under 2.5 goals – one of the others was 8-2 United – and I can see another low scorer.

Agree with the unders MrF as I posted on other thread but stats and form suggest there is value in a United win @ 6/4. Good luck on your unders MrF but id rather eat my losing bet slip than back that ArseNIL shower of…………..

Spot on with the write up Mr F. Arsenal have certainly played the better football of the two over the season but it’s impossible to know how they will perform tonight. They are too prone to losing confidence, shape and possession against well drilled sides away from home. If they play their best football from the last couple of months it will beat United’s best, which hasn’t been very good to say the least. But you can’t argue with results. Feels like a draw to me, and I think it might be tight, scrappy and disappointing. Giroud to score and a few correct scores is probably all I will go for.

Fellaini anytime goalscorer has got to have a gud chance of landing as Arsenal not great in the air and Utd always seem to bully Arsenal at set pieces… This could be the night United come to life, it will happen at some point too many good players not too in my opinion…

    Good day yesterday

Cessna not to lose against Palermo , Ajax to win , Dundee utd not to lose, ,villareal to win and Valencia not to lose

Today I’m going with arsenal not to lose at 8/15 and doubling up with jive tubs to win. That’s giving me 4/5 odds. Looks ok

Mr F totally agree all the stats suggest a low scoring game, even 0-0 tonight wouldn’t be unexpected but…………Arsenal are due a result against Utd, stats/records are there to be broken.

The Arsenal defence is shaky, big Mertesacker can usually be relied on to give something away under pressure so I expect Utd to score, so I think Arsenal will need to score at least 2 to win tonight, something I think they can do with Sanchez playing at his best.

Gopher, off to work – last night before going down to Cheltenham tomorrow. Will be watching the game so hope it’s not 0-0 but it could well be.
