THERE'S a cracking tennis tussle in store this afternoon as Andy Murray looks to wrap up a Davis Cup win for Britain when he faces Kei Nishikori.
Andy and brother Jamie eased to victory in the doubles yesterday to give their team a 2-1 lead over Japan and now the British No.1 is 3-10 at Ladbrokes to complete the job against the world No.6.
Nishkori, who trails Murray 5-1 in the head-to-head, is 3-1 at BetVictor for the win and 8-15 at William Hill to take a set.
In the other Davis Cup matches today David Goffin does battle for Belgium against Croatia No.1 Marin Cilic and Germany's Philipp Kohlschreiber aims for an upset against Czech ace Tomas Berdych.
Elswhere there's plenty of NBA, rugby and darts among the sporting highlights so post your tips and chat here and good luck with your bets.
Davis Cup Treble @ EVENS:
– Andy Murray
– Leonardo Mayer
– Guido Pella
‘Double of Stormers to win & Jaguares +9.5’. WON
Stormers did the business and best of both worlds as my Sharks won but the Jags covered the spread to bring in my NAP. Fun treble was let down by the Chiefs as the Lions continue to impress.
I’ve put some loose change on the Brumbies to win the whole thing at 7/2. They’re always there or thereabouts and have some excellent depth in their squad. Quality start to the tournament thus far!

hi again fella’s
big weekend of boxing and UFC
some value to be had, all of these are in various acca’s in various combinations so ill post as singles:
Value Picks:
Conner Mcgregor to win on points 8/1 (10/1 in some bookies) *lost*
moving up in weight against a tough guy who has only ever been stopped once (by a headkick) in his entire career)
Lucas Browne to win 2/1 *won* By KO 3/1: *won*
Lucas browne is a 6’5 unbeaten Australian heavyweight. he is facing Chagaev a former world champ who stands at just 5’11 and is at the end of his career at 37 years old.
Technically he is FAR superior to browne who appears to fight more like a brawler.
Chagaev has also face far superior boxers to Browne, only losing to the elite (klitschko and povetkin)
While browne has faced nobody of note in his career.
the key here for me is desire and shape. Browne came in at the lightest of his career, while chagaev came in at the heaviest of his career.
Browne looks in fantastic shape and has looked technically slightly better in training videos, he will need every ounce of his desire to become the first australian heavyweight champ ( paper belt)
Bradley Skeete to win 11/10 *won To win on points 2/1 *won*
Sam eggington is facing bradley skeete to keep hold of his british belt. similar height and reach for both fighters.
Eggington is a brawler who has more power than skeete, though lacks the technical boxing ability that skeete does.
Skeete lost only to frankie gavin in a controversial points loss ( i had him winning)
Eggington was dropped HEAVILY in his last fight against a much smaller fighter who was fighting on very short notice, he came through and won on points, though the technical flaw’s were obvious to see
I expect a close fight, but skeetes boxing ability should win him a MD/SD
More Confident picks:
Ortiz KO 3/10 *won*
this fight will not go beyond 5-6 rounds. If it goes beyond 3-4 you should be able to get a very good price for ORTIZ KO.
Tony thompson is taking this fight on 2 weeks notice, he is in terrible shape and this looks to be the last fight of his career, he is 44 years old.
Ortiz looks to be a threat to both fury and wilder and the entire division with his brutal one punch power and his fantastic cuban boxing skills ( i couldn’t find the under anywhere?)
Antoine Douglas to win 3/10 *lost*
not much of a write up needed here, unbeaten prospect facing an old veteran who is incredibly short for a middleweight at 5 foot 4. antoine douglas is a slick boxer who stands at 6 foot tall.
Holly holm to win 1/3 *lost*
I thought the odd’s would be a bit better here, but still looks a given, close fight but holm is better in nearly every way.
few huge upsets, cost me a huge amount of money :(
Posted yesterday – hopefully no-one followed!!!
‘Gone for the following Evens(ish) treble on the basketball. No expert so if u do follow keep stakes low!!!
Spurs – highest scoring quarter 5/17
Cavs ml 5/16
Pacers 5/21
Pays 1.1/1 – 1.3 points staked’
LOST – thought -6 on Spurs was a bit risky so went with the highest quarter instead which lost by 3 points. Bet lost and my 100% winning streak!!!!
Cavs and R Jacksons assists sorted me out last night.
Bouchard is flapping so keep an eye on her in the final set just incase she loses it .
Berdych and Murray – 3 double for Evens.Good luck.

Fell one short of MVG’s 180 line for the second sucessive day :( He wasn’t performing at his best today with his first or second dart being the poor ones. Hopefully he can put it right for later on.

Dragic has been a completely different player since the all star break and the heat picking up their pace offensively, his points+assists total is at 23.0 on Paddy.
Since the all star break he’s hit 26, 29, 28, 19, 26, 20, 29, 32 and 27.
Only thing that puts me off is its against Philly and they could get blown out which could decrease his minutes.
Thoughts @Jordan ?
@nick2 I think it’ll be closer than u think…
I’ll go a tenner
UK Open darts semi finals
Wright vs Klaasen – over 10.5 total 180’s 5/6 **NAP**
Van Gerwen vs Taylor – Taylor win 11/5 **NB**
Wright vs Klaasen should be littered with maximums as both have been getting 180’s aplenty this weekend. The match has the potential to be very close, possibly going down to the last leg if both score big on their throws which would mean more opportunities for getting them in the game.
Taylor hasn’t won a TV major for nearly two years now and he looks hungry for this. There hasn’t been any chinks in his armour this weekend, he’s been averaging over 100 consistantly whilst playing comfortably with his new darts. Everyone is aware of just how good MVG is and what he can do but occasionally in this tourney he has looked sluggish and has turned off at certain stages. Taylor has shown in the past that when he slows down the pace and plays his own methodical game it can bother MVG and Taylor has got into winning positions. I think the same will happen tonight and what with the relatively short format of just first to ten legs there may not be enough time to catch him.

UK Open darts semi finals
Wright vs Klaasen – over 10.5 total 180’s 5/6 **NAP** LOST
Van Gerwen vs Taylor – Taylor win 11/5 **NB** LOST
Missed the total 180 line again by one maximum. Fair play to the bookies they have been on point with their lines. It was looking good for Taylor at 4-1 ahead but then MVG really kicked in and that was that.
Anything for the final?
Not really greaves. Most 180’s MVG looks the best bet but is a bit short at 8/13. In-play is the one on this I think.
No bet for me tonight gents. Do like Hassan Whiteside (Heat) Over 13.5 Rebounds @ 17/20 @ Bet Victor, or Over 30.5 Points and Rebounds @ 5/6 @ Paddy Power. But going to give it a miss as I’ve had a cent football day. Good luck with your punts.
Russell has 23 PRA at ht haha(I’m crying inside really!)
22*
My theory works then mate ;)
Larin scored. 94th minute haha
Yep JR smith won last night too!
Saw that Orlando scored 2, one in the 94th and one in 96th. Nuts!
Gonna have 1 pt on Warriors -5.5 @ 10/11 (in play). Currently half-time.
Crazy match so far but surely GSW will hit there stride soon and smash it, I’ll join you on this mate
I wonder how much a Lakers Sun’s double would of paid!
Hahaha, I don’t know about the Suns but Lakers ML was like 17/1 …
Cannot believe what I’m seeing… Warriors getting blown +10 pts by the Lakers.
It’s Christmas for the Bookies.
My bookie in Aus had the lakers at $26 at the money-line!
Ah the wisdom of hindsight…
Warriors at evens to win approaching the final Quarter! No one could of imagined them being offered + on the point spread!
Warriors 3pts % is just over 10… Unbelievable.
Cannot believe the team with the second worst record in the NBA is about to beat one of the best teams in NBA history hahahaha
– Heat/76ers U220.5
– Pistons +8.5
– Raptors ML
Pays EVENS (3 points on)
Lakers/Suns double would have paid around 80/1.
So much for these sides tanking like past seasons.
Suns have won 3 from last 5! Also look to be the Grizzlies bogie side
Let’s see if the Sixers make the trebble ;-)
**Posted Earlier**
**WON** (Pella leg void so reduced odds)
Davis Cup Treble @ EVENS:
– Andy Murray
– Leonardo Mayer
– Guido Pella
Nice one Attila. Murray didn’t make it easy for himself ;-)
Yeh tell me about it! He went to sleep after going up 2 sets to love. Class came thru in the end tho
Gonna have 1 pt on Raptors ML and Blazers +3.5 @ 1/1 (Unibet), about to start.
For any nightowls, i do like the look of these 2 games in the NCAAB playoffs:
– Stetson +10.0 @ $1.90
– Wisconsin +6.5 @ $1.91
Being playoffs i see these being close. The road teams are good sides and dont see them gettjng beat by double digits or anything…Wisconsin may even grt the upset win SU.
