KevMac previews a selection of matches from Tuesday night's card.
Raith Rovers v Hearts
HEARTS crashed to a shock defeat against Raith at the weekend but have an instant chance to exact revenge at Stark’s Park tonight.
The bookies didn’t give Rovers a prayer at Tynecastle but they won 3-2 to bust many a coupon, including mine.
Despite that, John McGlynn’s men are still 15/4 outsiders with McBookie for tonight’s game with the Jambos at 8/11.
Hearts almost salvaged a draw from 3-0 down and the quick turnaround in games will be tough on the recovering Raith players.
So I’m going to back the Tynecastle men to win this one with a bit to spare and Hearts -1 in the handicaps pays 9/5 at McBookie.
Dundee v Ayr Utd
Dundee also slipped up with a draw at Arbroath on Friday and now host an Ayr side without a win in six.
Both teams to score has come up in Dundee’s last six games and four of Ayr’s last five. It pays just 7/10 at McBookie here but doubling it with a win for the Dark Blues increases the odds to 12/5 at Bet365.
Southampton v Arsenal
There’s also a speedy rematch in England as Southampton host Arsenal for the second time in four days.
Saints won their FA Cup tie 1-0 but Mikel Arteta rested a few big names and the Gunners should be stronger.
So I fancy both teams to score at 13/16 with SBK while over 2.5 goals is 42/41 with the same firm.
Newcastle v Leeds Utd
I’m also going for BTTS in Newcastle v Leeds (9/13, SportNation) despite the Magpies drawing seven blanks in their last eight games.
That run has to end sometime and Marcelo Bielsa’s men have conceded in their last three.
Super Singles
- Hearts -1 (9/5, McBookie)
- Dundee and BTTS (12/5, Bet365)
Deadly Double
- BTTS at Southampton and Newcastle (2/1, SBK).
McBookie Star Bet
- Over 3.5 goals has landed in Hearts’ last seven games and pays 6/4 at Stark’s Park.
