ALL roads led to Cardiff last night and for junior football fans today they'll be heading to equally glamorous Kilmarnock.
Fierce rivals Auchinleck and Glenafton meet in the Scottish Junior Cup Final and it won’t be for the faint-hearted.
If you like your football of the blood and snorters variety tune in to BBC Alba for live coverage at 4.15pm. Goals could be at a premium though as both sides won their semi-finals 1-0 on aggregate and when they met last month in the league and Glens won 1-0 away.
That result went a long way to crowning the New Cumnock side champions and Talbot’s air of invincibility has slipped. In three meetings this season Glens have won two with one draw.
Bot are 4-5 favourites at McBookie to win in 90 minutes but punters want to be on Glens and you can see why.
Talbot have lost three in a row without scoring and that included a West of Scotland semi-final defeat to near
neighbours Cumnock.
I’’m siding with Glens to edge this one and they 23-10 with McBookie to win in 90 minutes. On the outrights it’s 8-11 Talbot and Glenafton at evens.
There is no extra time so the game will go straight to penalties and at that stage it could favour Talbot whose keeper Andy Leishman has saved a few in his time – including a famous one against Hearts at Tynecastle in the senior Scottish Cup. To win on pens both sides are 4-1 with McBookie.
If you agree it could be a low scorer try 1-0 Glens at 11-1 while under 2.5 goals is 11-10. Full credit to McBookie for putting up full markets on the games including first scorers.
Talbot’s deadball expert Graham Wilson is favourite at 19-5 while ex-Ayr striker Mark Shankland is 17-4.
Chris Dallas is the most likely Glens marksman and he is 11-2.
