IT'S the final round of the group stage of the Betfred Cup with teams vying to finish top or claim one of four best second places.
Also the four best group winners will be seeded for the last 16 alongside Celtic, Aberdeen, Hearts and Hibs – and Rangers have already taken one of those spots after winning all four of their games fairly comfortably and without conceding.
Premiership sides such as Ross County, Dundee, St Johnstone, Kilmarnock and Hamilton have struggled and holders County have suffered an embarrassing exit while Dundee are unlikely to net one of four best second places.
My policy today is to feature on sides with a chance of topping their table or sealing second spot.
In Group A Peterhead should beat Dumbarton away to leapfrog East Fife and into the last 16. The League One side beat Dundee in midweek with a Rory McAllister double and are 17-10 with Skybet at a side who have one point out of nine.
St Johnstone will win Group B by beating Stirling but they're a bit short at 1-5 at William Hill.
Inverness need to set a target in Group C for Dundee United who entertain Dunfermline tomorrow. The Highlanders hammered the Pars 5-1 in midweek and are worth a look minus two at 7-5 with Paddy Power at home to Arbroath.
Raith and Alloa face off for top spot in Group D and the impressive Wasps could nick a draw that will see them through even if they lose on penalties.
Partick Thistle have all but won Group E and can finish with a 100 per cent record by beating Queen's Park but they are no bigger than 2-9 at William Hill.
Rangers have won Group F and Motherwell are 8-15 at William Hill to seal second spot by winning at Stranraer.
Hamilton or St Mirren or both can leapfrog Ayr to top spot in Group G. Back both to win at home to Livingston and Edinburgh City respectively.
Morton are in pole position in Group H and should Berwick to stay ahead of Killie who are at home to Albion Rovers.
Bets to Consider
Inverness -2
Killie, QoS, Motherwell treble
Both to score double
Dundee v Forfar
Raith v Alloa
