IF I was a big hitter I'd be on a Man Utd, Chelsea and Barcelona treble. All three should win at home but odds are about evens with Betway for example paying £19 to a £10 stake.
There are a variety of punters on this site so an evens treble isn't for many people. But with so few games being played tonight it's difficult to find a value one.
So I'll stick with Man Utd and Chelsea and up the ante with Fiorentina at home to Roma in the Italian Cup. It's a tight game but Roma could suffer through the absence of Francesco Totti.

Danny, I don’t think Totti’s past it, still has a big influence on Roma for me but having said this it’s a game that could either way. I couldn’t say another team at that price who I fancied and I needed to give the treble a boost so here’s hoping.

Stevie H, although Tranmere won at the weekend they are only top because of their early-season form. Been a bit up and down recently and in fact lost two of their last three away games 5-0 – Derby in the cup and Swindon in the league. Coventry have lost McGoldrick as you say and are a bit up and down. A draw wouldn’t surprise me.

Chris, I still think on nights like this you should take it really easy and not go with your normal tactics. I like to have a big choice and when the main card features only 10 or so games it might be better to go easy. Having said that you’ll probably be on Falcao tomorrow if he starts although best price I can see is just 2-1.

Mike, tonight I made a small profit and that’s partly because I hate betting on really short prices. It was difficult to avoid tonight the way the card shaped up but unless you’re putting on big stakes I try to avoid anything shorter than 2-5.
Most of you guys must do a few bets on other stuff apart from what you tip on here, i’m just wondering how you manage to spot all the little gems as i can’t find none…lol apart from live betting of course
John, it takes time and effort. For example my treble and single lost but in my betting article there were quite a few winners and that’s just from taking each game one at a time and spotting some value. The one I liked most that I mentioned was 2-1 for no to both teams to score at Fiorentina. The stats suggested both would score but generally goals have dried up in the past few weeks so 2-1 was a big price. I doubled it up with both to score at Barcelona which I also tipped. As I said a few times there are losers and winners but the more research you do the more likely you are to profit.
Gutted, tried putting a tenner on Malaga to draw on the 85th minute and my phone bat died on me. I hate iPhones, stupid short life batteries. Time to trade up.

The bookies odds are a nitemare and you would have to bet like mr chris guy to get a good return! Wont go down that road! Alex, I think it goes in cycles and it depends on how you bet. I’d agree with you that at the moment it seems as if more of the hot favourites aren’t winning but this is traditionally one of the toughest months to pick winners. I wouldn’t take a bet like Chelsea to beat QPR because for me it’s too short. Where I’m trying to cash in is on sides around about the evens mark. You only two or three up for a decent return. Also there are other markets where less skill is required such as btts and over 1.5 and 2.5. I wouldn’t give up but keep stakes low just now.
Alex it doesn’t matter how much you stake you could still get a devent return for lower stakes. I don’t alway back large stakes. Sometimes I will stick the odd £10 on a defender to try and get lucky. For instance last night I had £10 on ht Barcelona FT Malaga. You could say I was one goal away from winning £1500.
I stuck £200 on bets yesterday and got £195 back as non runners. I didn’t even know that Ivanovic didn’t play.

Radamel Falcao, as ever, will be Atletico’s main threat. Whilst for Betis, the likes of Benat and Arsenal loanee Joel Campbell will be looking to produce something on the counter.
Atletico will also have Falcao involved in this match. He’s been responsible for close to half his teams total, and most of his strikes have come at home. In his absence the team drew 1-1 at Mallorca and 0-0 at Getafe, but as soon as he returned he scored in a 2-0 win here against Zaragoza.
Maybe best to check the team news first but I can see no reason why he wouldn’t be playing. Did you see there is talk about Falcao joining PSG. Imagine him up front with Ibrahimovic. Not sure if I would back Atletico if Falcao not playing. What do you reckon for correct score Paul?
