It may not be The Etihad but there are certain similarities between The Laugardalsvöllur Stadium and it’s rather more affluent Mancunian counterpart. Fram’s Reykjavik ground is no stranger to goals and 6-4-4-3-4-1-1-3-4-10-6 in consecutive home games offers up a pretty tasty average.
Both home and away games have seen rich pickings for any goal backers following Fram and without their 2-0 loss to table-toppers IA their last 10 league matches have finished with scorelines of 3-3, 2-2, 2-2, 1-3, 2-1, 3-1, 1-0, 1-2, 3-1, 2-2 – that’s a record that sees btts & overs get the green light in 80% of their most recent matches!
While Njardvik can’t quite match that figure their games have hardly been devoid of action – last season’s successful promotion bid from 2 Deild saw them racking up the goals and despite their struggle to assimilate they have netted in 9 of their last 13 matches … a spell that has averaged just over 3.1 goals per game.
There have been 3 H2Hs between the two sides with the most historic finishing 2-1 to Fram but is meaningless whereas the much more meaningful 2018 match-ups in April and June finished with respective scorelines of 2-1
and 2-2.
I really like the look of both sides scoring here and doubt it will stay under 3 goals – two selections to consider.
