I SPENT the day in and around Leeds yesterday and drove past Elland Road on the way through to Armley and Wortley – those beatiful, scenic, affluent pockets of the city where I’m sure Costa Rica won’t be staying ahead of tonight's game with England.
The ground will play host to this friendly international and though I’m not a fan of backing such games, the right approach and lower stakes can often work as it did in the previous England friendly.
Costa Rica are no mugs and although their squad is a very different one to that which made the 2014 quarter-finals, they can still cause problems and contain sides; any attacking players will have Real’s keeper Keylor Navas to face if the defence is breached!
As in the previous friendly, I can see plenty of offensive play without much actually converting towards the goal tally – corners are the market that interest me the most here.
England v Costa Rica (8pm)
- Over 9 match corners
- (4-5, bet365) ???
- Corner before 9:00
- (5-6, bet365) ??
Nice one, Hull.
Combined England win / under 2.5 goals / over 9 corners. Was sweating towards the end but now I am a happy lad. Now to lose it all on some South American football!
