NO joy yesterday but Wednesday’s card brings a shot at redemption in the form of some muscular-thighed Irish ladies and – rather worringly – 22 blonde Icelandic men … as Craneguy says ‘any port in a storm’.
KÓRDRENGIR VS. VATNALILJUR (9pm)
Group D action from my current stomping ground of choice – the 4 Dield and this is a game that looks to be dominated by the hosts.
The two sides went H2H as recently as March – a game which Kordrengir ran out 0-6 away victors and this perhaps bodes well for the hosts as they look to make it a hatrick of victories; their opening games saw 1-3 and 4-1 wins that puts them top of Group D.
I fancy goals here and the lines set by bet365 look to offer a touch of value:
- Goal line 4.5, 5.0
- (1.750, bet365)
- ????

DERRY CITY VS. PORTADOWN (8pm)
Brandywell Stadium plays host to a match featuring the two sides who are propping up the NILF Premier League table and the opening 4 fixtures for both has been a story of woe.
Both sides have amassed 0 points from those opening games but Derry hold the ‘superior’ (?) goal difference of -19 as opposed to Portadown’s -24; those totals comprising goals conceded counts of 5-5-3-7 and 6-11-1-7 respectively.
Interstingly, the last two H2H were decided by home soil with both home teams winning the 2017 games with 5 team goals apiece.
The question here isn’t whether the teams can concede but rather can they score! I reckon so with Derry the more likely side to lead the charge:
- Goal line 3.5, 4.0
- (1.800, bet365)
- ???
