Tuesday was a tough day and the highlight, if you can even call it that, was the run from the Ollie Sangster debutante under Jamie Spencer. In hindsight, he probably should have won as the way he picked up the winner in the final furlong when the winner was away and gone was done with ease, but the winner had set sail for home a few furlongs before Spencer got a clear run.
Lattash looked like he was going to pick up and win comfortably in his race but he ran out of petrol in the final furlong or so and could only manage third place. My other selection Eight Mile ran with credit, but had to settle for a runner up spot in the end. Another second to add to the list in recent weeks..
Tiger Trap saw a bit of support and ran a weird race, under a strange ride by Hollie Doyle. She opted to go straight from her stall, then stuck to the inside when the horse was going okay but was then pulled wide and to be fair to Hollie the horse didn't pick up, but did start to run on towards the finish.
Typically, we recommend Bet365 prices to those who choose to follow, However, on the rare occasion we identify a valuable selection that has been reduced by Bet365 but not by other bookmakers, we will advise using an alternative provider. This is the case with Rizzel's first selection, which is still available at 20-to-1 odds with William Hill at the time of writing.
We will be only offering three selections for Wednesday's racing, apologies in advance!

Berry Clever 7/2 – Lingfield 4.50
Current market favourite Whoop Whoop has to be respected in her attempt to back up a recent C&D win last week. Carrying a 6lb penalty won't be easy, and at 6/4, I thought she could be taken on in this contest.
The horse I liked was Berry Clever for the Chris Dwyer yard, who will be ridden by jockey Silvestre De Sousa. I'm a massive fan of Silvestre De Sousa, and he's no shy jockey to the Chris Dwyer team as he tends to book him for quite a lot of his rides throughout the year. De Sousa has a pretty healthy strike rate when running for Chris Dwyer, operating in and around 20%. Notably, Silvestre has been aboard my selection five times in his last six races, so he will know the horse very well which I always think is positive.
My selection still remains a maiden after eleven career starts but has gone close on a few occasions when finishing second at Wetherby and Yarmouth, while also finishing in the placings at Newmarket. Berry Clever has been campaigned over a variety of trips, ranging from 6f and up to 1m. He steps down in trip to 7f after finishing fifth most recently at Newcastle over 1m. I'm not sure connections know his optimum trip yet, but he does stay the 1m well enough, so I fully expect him to be strong in the finish in this contest over 7f.
I caught a quick glimpse of his most recent effort when finishing fifth at Newcastle back in June over 1m. I thought Berry Clever ran an encouraging race that day, and given he ran into some trouble in running, I felt he did well to finish as close as she did to the eventual winner in the end. He's been given a break since that run and if he's fit and ready to roll then he has every chance of breaking his maiden this time around.

Ignac Lamar 20/1 EW five places – Carlisle 3.25
As usual, when tipping up out-of-form horses, I could be barking up the wrong tree, but I feel like it is worth chancing Ignac Lamar for this race now that a stable jockey is on board for the first time in a long time.
Based on the record of Ignac Lamar it might be best to leave him alone when racing on turf as he is 3/18 on the all-weather with a further six top-three efforts, whereas his turf numbers read 0/14 and his best efforts being back in third on two occasions. However, he has shown a couple of decent efforts on turf since moving to Jim Goldie's yard, and that's enough to suggest he can win off a very low handicap mark of 48 which is 10lbs lower than his mark on the all-weather.
Jim Goldie is a crafty little trainer and likes to land gambles on a frequent basis, with the latest happening last week up at Hamilton when Tafsir was backed in from much bigger odds than his winning odds of 9/2, and he did it with ease with Amie Waugh on board. It just seems a little strange that Jim hasn't had a stable jockey on board this horse since obtaining him last October. He has had a win in that time frame on the all-weather, but given Jim likes to use Paul Mulrennan and more recently, Amie Waugh, it's eyecatching that Amie now gets on board when this horse has dropped down to a basement mark of 48 and might have ground to suit.
Ignac Lamar's best recent run on turf did come on good to soft ground on the back of a small absence of 52 days. The ground is going to be similar to those conditions, maybe slightly worse, but the Dam's side of the pedigree would suggest this ground is something this horse wants. He is related to a few horses who liked soft ground, and if connections did think he was an all-weather horse, surely they'd just keep him to a winter campaign and race him on that surface, so it's interesting that they are pursuing a career on the turf still, as they clearly believe he is on a good mark, and with Amie Waugh taking off a further 3lbs from his mark of 48, making him 45 rated for today's race, he looks of interest at big odds.
If the market speaks in his favour, we could be onto something, so I advise monitoring the prices.
Vision Of Hope 12/1 EW four places – Worcester 7.10
In conditional jockey races, I think it can often be very advantageous to be siding with the more experienced and better jockeys. Obviously, that might sound obvious, but having the best jockey on a horse who has no chance ultimately means nothing, but I did think the booking of Ben Bromley on Vision Of Hope was eye-catching.
Simon Pearce is the trainer of Vision Of Hope and it is a rare jumps runner these days for Simon Pearce who is definitely more focused on flat racing these days as his numbers in recent years would suggest. He has only had five runners over the jumps this season, with Vision Of Hopemaking up for a few of those, with a second over today's C&D being the standout run for this two-time hurdles winner. Worcester isn't close to Newmarket where Simon trains, so it reads well that they are willing to come back to Worcester for today's race given how well she ran at the course back in July.
This 5-year-old mare is inconsistent but the booking of top conditional Ben Bromley gives me optimism that she will be fully wound up for today's race. Ben is vastly experienced compared to the majority of the jockeys in this race and often rides for some big trainers and owners. He has had 32 winners in his career to date, which has been at a 14% SR. Speaking of conditional jockey races, Simon Pearce had a winner in one of these races in recent years and for that occasion, he booked Kevin Brogan who also wasn't able to claim in that race, but Kevin was one of the best conditionals at the time, so there might be a fair bit to take into the jockey booking.
two miles on good ground is something this horse seems to relish. Worcester is expecting a little bit of rain, but that should potentially make it good to soft which still should be fine as she ran well at Yarmouth on the flat on a similar surface. She seems to be a winnable mark as she was only denied by a nose at this track in July and her previous wins have been off 80 and 86 with a runner-up finish off 89 (which also came at today's venue).

Get yourself down to the paddock and let your eyes tell you whether the horse has been burning up the gallops and on a strict diet or sitting on the couch watching Loose Women with a can of skol in one hoof and a pukka pie in the other.

Horseshoe Indianapolis -Race 5…Strangers Church 3/1 ***+ Various
Gets in as reserve and is now 1 of only 2 with a run under his belt in what’s still a large field and to be honest a tough one to call with so debuting.
Both horses with a runs form has been franked but his 2nd at Hawthorne was a lot better speed figure and completely blew the start coming from last to get 2nd he looks like crying out fit this 5 1/2 Furlong.
As it’s an OPEN race Combo forecast (tricast if you can find it but there bit costly ?)
