Cairnzy will definitely feel a tad unlucky that Gavin Sheehan was unable to steer the very well-backed Fromheretoeternity. The mare who was carrying a double penalty jumped brilliantly for the most part, but was legless after jumping the last and the second horse was staying on strongly, resulting in that horse going past in the final furlong and pulling away at the finish.

Yes Day 4/1 – Southwell 12.15
Backing a horse for the second time in a row hasn't exactly gone too well for me in recent weeks/months, but whenever I don't, they do tend to win. Obviously, that means very little, I'm not superstitious and only back horses who I believe have a solid chance of winning. I think Yes Day was shaped brilliantly at Warwick on his chasing debut, but he didn't win due to a lack of a recent run.
With this being his second run of the season and now he has experienced the larger obstacles at a strong jumping test, I think there will have to be a very well-handicapped horse to beat my selection as I strongly fancy him to do the business. I think the handicapper has been very lenient by dropping him 2lbs as he jumped extremely well and was tired towards the end, and the Racing Post has taken the same view as me, rating the performance as a +5lb to his rating at the time. Off a mark of 118 makes life a fair bit easier.
Another good indicator was that there was some good strong money in for him, which is always a benefit when a horse hails from a gambling yard.
One Last Tango 7/1 – Clonmel 3.05
Nothing else at Southwell caught my eye, so I thought I'd have a look at the Clonmel jumps meeting and I thought that One Last Tango was worth a go on his fourth start over fences, but this being his first handicap over the larger obstacles.
JP horses haven't been very kind to me over the last year, but the 7/1 tipped-up horse who drifted out to 14/1 on Sunday showed that you can't just follow the money as he managed to land the good for us. I'm going to try my arm at another JP horse, this time in Ireland and this one is 0/3 over fences and hasn't shown much in the three starts. However, he is rated 125 over hurdles, with a career-best RPR of 129, so he is definitely a useful operator when putting it all together. The handicapper has given him a chance on his handicap debut over fences as he is now running off a mark of 115, which means against this lesser field he should find this much easier despite carrying a lump of weight.
Obviously, I stand by my comments made on Sunday's selection, and I'd advise not to get too heavily involved and keep your stakes low as you never know what to expect with JP horses.
Been given a horse today so do what you wish with it I just thought I’d pass some info on.
