Rizz popped up with another nice winner yesterday, with his sole selection running a blinder in the Sussex National.
I thought Invincible Nao was given a peach of a ride by jockey Caoilin Quinn, who rode his mount cold from the rear throughout most of the contest. He made his move quite late on into the contest, and although you could argue he maybe left it a tad later than needed, he obviously knew he had a fair bit of horse underneath him. Invincible Nao appreciated the step up in trip and given how strongly he hit the line, you could argue that one could run over even further.

Havaila 3/1 – Lingfield 2.55
Despite arriving here in search of a four timer, I think the market leader Aworkinprogress is worth taking on in this contest. Aworkinprogress is of course the form pick but despite being lightly raced and proven on testing conditions, a 5lb rise in the weights on forecast heavy ground will still ask further questions. Two of his last three wins have come at Lingfield but he's had to work extremely hard to come out on top, winning by small margins on each occasion ( 3/4 of a length ). I also thought the form of his three-quarter-of-a-length victory to David Pipe's Vision De Maine was questionable, with that one seemingly gone backwards in his few outings.
My selection Havaila looks like a worthy alternative in taking on the market principle and at 3/1 I'm more than happy to give Gary Moore's charge a chance in this contest. Gary & Josh Moore have hit a bit of form of late, enjoying a good day at Plumpton yesterday in landing two winners, one of which had jockey Harry Cobden on board who is also booked to take the ride on my selection.
Havaila didn't show much on his first three outings over fences but looked a different proposition on his fourth outing when winning comfortably by two and a quarter lengths at this course under jockey Harry Cobden. I thought there was a lot to like about that performance, particularly how smoothly he traveled into contention on testing conditions. My selection runs of a mark of 106 for this contest and given he was rated as high as 111 over hurdles, I think there's definitely room for further progress over the bigger obstacles after only four runs.
