Royal Ascot 2025 tips

Just like the daily Lucky 15s for this week, we will also be posting a daily EW treble tip.

With enhanced places being on offer with multiple bookies, it's a good idea to take advantage and combine horses for an EW treble.

It is possible to make a solid profit from having all three horses placed. If we manage to land three winners, it will be a big payout.

Manxman 10/1 EW (5pl) – Ascot 5.00 (Ascot Stakes Heritage Handicap)

Unfortunately, Manxman was the horse who beat my fancy last time out, Mr Professor. But, on the basis that I’ve seen him and studied his run under a microscope, I think today’s race is tailor-made for him.

He really enjoyed the fast pace 2m at Goodwood last time out. He only got going very late on, and that race was the bare minimum for his stamina. He was staying on powerfully in last year’s Cesarewitch, only to be defeated by Alphonse Le Grande (in today’s race). I think he was staying on stronger than the other horse, so he will appreciate today’s longer trip.

This is a big field, so you’re going to need luck in running, but I struggle to see a better EW bet than him.

King’s Gambit 15/2 EW (4pl) – Ascot 5.35 (Wolferton Stakes Listed Race)

I think it’s a bit strange that James Doyle has gone for Haatem in this race when he had the pick of three Wathnan horses. From what we’ve seen so far, Haatem has a lot to prove, especially over a trip this far.

King’s Gambit would’ve been the pick for me all day long if I were James Doyle, and I think it was fairly obvious as well. I tipped him up last time out when he was running at Newbury over 12f. For whatever reason, he didn’t run to form. The form of the yard has been quiet in recent weeks, but they have had a couple of winners the past couple of days.

The blinkers which were on last time are now off, and given how keen he was, that’s probably for the best. The drop back in trip should help him settle better, and the return to Ascot is a plus. He was runner-up in a Group 3 last year at this meeting, and his form last year was very solid. He was behind Illinois and Los Angeles over 12f, which is top-notch form.

Caballo De Mar 11/2 EW (5pl) – Ascot 6.10 (Copper Horse Stakes Handicap)

I think it's a fair assessment to say there are not many horses in this race who are well handicapped. The two who jumped off the page were my selection and My Mate Mozzie.

I have been a believer in Caballo De Mar for quite some time. I didn't manage to jump on him when he was at the bottom of his winning streak, but he has won for me and finished second to East India Dock in the Chester Cup. Since the defeat at Chester, he went on and won at Haydock, showing he is still in fantastic form.

My only concern is the trip. He has proven to have the speed for this drop to 14f, but he was winning off a much lower mark. However, he has shown his class through the Chester run, and I think the stiff track and likely strong pace will suit him.

I think you can give a decent shout-out to the Willie Mullins horse, who has good form in France.

Each way treble odds: 606.75/1
