Aintree 5.15
LEONCAVALLO (5.15) can give a good account in Aintree's concluding two-mile handicap hurdle restricted to conditional and amateur jockeys.
The gelding produced a creditable sixth in the Martin Pipe Conditional Jockeys' Handicap Hurdle at Cheltenham under today's rider Fergus Gillard and Leoncavallo was a fair sort on the level, running sixth to Great White Shark in the Cesarewitch at Newmarket. Henry de Bromhead's Bold Enough split smart Pure Genius and Mitchouka at Downpatrick 19 days ago and is open to some improvement as that was his first outing in six months.
Aintree 4.05
The 2m 5f Topham Chase is always a magnificent spectacle, with 28 runners tackling the Grand National fences. Willie and Patrick Mullins can team up to great effect with LIVELOVELAUGH (4.05), twice placed at Leopardstown in February/March. The 11-year-old was still in the firing line before weakening from three out in the 2019 Grand National and this shorter trip is more suitable.
JP McManus’ Modus scored here in November and returned the following month to post a solid third to Beau Bay on ground that may have been too testing. Ibleo, third to Sky Pirate at Cheltenham, has a stiff task under top weight but is well worth a try at this longer distance. Visioman has been the subject of support running for Henry de Bromhead and Rachael Blackmore, while Morning Vicar can go well for the Henderson team. Generous each-way terms are available with most firms.
Aintree 4.40
Cheltenham third Bravemansgame is a worthy favourite in the 3m 1f novices’ hurdle. His bid for a four-timer came unstuck behind Bob Olinger in the Ballymore Hurdle but that level of form sets the bar high. OSCAR ELITE (4.40) looked stamina-laden when chasing home Vanillier in the Albert Bartlett at Cheltenham and holds third-placed Streets Of Doyen and others on that effort. He may represent a bit of each-way value against Bravemansgame.
Blackmore teams up with the Emmet Mullins-trained Cape Gentleman and her mount was last seen beating Calico over an inadequate two miles at Kempton in February. He could improve a bundle over this much longer trip.
Grand National Horse-by-Horse Guide

Porky Rush 66/1 > 12/1
What are you guys up too 😍
1.45 The pin dropped on Press Your Luck 22/1 5 places. In a race like this you can’t be confident as anything can happen but he shaped well at Newbury last time when only beaten 1L by Good Ball.
2.20 if Dusart is as good as the hype about him then he should be winning this quite easily. Its not the strongest of races . Henderson has a very good record in the race having won 2 of the last 3.
2.50 Taking a chance on Sporting John. He’s quirky and not the best of jumpers at times but if he puts it all together he’s more than capable of putting it up to them and 14/1 ew with 8 runners is too big imo.
3.25 If Nuts Well was at a bigger yard he’d be half the price. C&D winner and beat Clondaw Castle that time giving him 4lbs. Plenty of others with chances but at 9/1 I’ll give him a go ew
4.05 Probably giving this the kiss of death now but I’m quite sweet on Snugsborough Hall and have taken 22/1 6 places. He really comes into his own at this time of year and thrives on good ground. Didn’t get the opportunity last year with Covid, but in 2019 from Feb onwards he won 3 races and was carried out in the other. The horse than won the race he was carried out in was Impact Factor who he then beat by 11L at the punchestown festival. He had a run out in March to get fit with this in mind and I’m sure Liam Cusack wouldn’t be sending him over unless he thought he had decent claims. He also ticks all the trend boxes.
4.40 If Bravemansgame stays he should be too good for this field.
5.15 Copperless looks well handicapped and Olly Murphy yard in good form
BOL
Good write up as always DC. Cheers
Seconditis so far in the USA! 😡

More 2nd s than Steve Backley?? 🇺🇸🐎🙄
Giving it all a miss as I’m out tomorrow and Saturday night TV being as it is I’ll wait till later, bar a few £s fir intrest at Aintree. Trusting my tracker like at Cheltenham with Ibleo and Fir Pleasure Ew but nothing else.
GL to use
Kneeland-R7…Campanelle 4/5(*****) kinda disappointing in the Breeders Cup but should cripple this field on his return. Ground, jockey and blowing away the opposition in wourkouts.
4/5 ain’t great but it’s my max bet of the weekend.
Kneeland-R9(2 from my tracker?)
Darian (my favourite last few races)
It’s only getting better but is up against it here but 14/1 Ew could do

Ireland so far have had 4 runners. 3 of them have won. 2 ran in the last race so only 1 could possibly win.
As I said yesterday the HDB yard are in poor form. Plenty of money came for Notebook too.
Lucky last 5-15

Native fighter 40-1 ew 6 places and 16-1 ew extra 10 places

Ireland win again….Snugsborough Hall had too much to do but places at least.
A friend told me Paddy power we’re doing a special 4 Irish trained winners at aintree today 100/1 the 4th as just gone in wish I had a pound on it ☹️
Would have been worth a go alright
Will have to check as it seams to good to be true
Sir Jack Yeats places 33-1.
Politologue very disappointing.
The Irish come here with a handful of horses and still doing the biz.
What’s happened to the UK horses ??
Prize money has a lot to do with it Elvis, owners are sending their horses to Ireland because of this, too many meetings aswell with 3 and 4 runner graded races. Then there’s the hype. If you just take Cloth Cap as an example, is he really a stone well in? On ratings he is but if you look at what he beat there’s no way he’s a 162 rated horse. He beat Aso by 7 1/2L. Aso is a hound and was beaten 103L yesterday. Frodingham gave Cloth Cap almost 2 stone and beat him by 8 1/2L and he’s now rated just 7lbs inferior. He has improved but not to that level.
Frodon *
Thank Alan another great shout 👍
11/10 stoute shot mentioned few days back loses by a whisker after going off 1/4.
dobbs wins on his 2nd horse, and My Frankel does in the 19:40, down to 6/4.
goes not does.
often in my mind 35/1
Well done the winners today.
Posted last night as above about Campanelle 4/5(*****) at Kneeland-R7.
Also mentioned and backed Darian at 14/1 who’s now 7/1 in R9. He’s more than capable with his impressive improvement.
I’ll leave that race to run later being on Darian Ew and on a small double with Hit The Road(4/1 same race) with Campanelle.
2x singles and a double on these earlier ponies…
Tampa Bay-R4…Flash Town 11/8(****)
Kneeland-R6…Spice is Nice. 5/4.
Double pays near 4/1 Bet365.
GL all 🇺🇸🐎👍
On them ! I could do with some winners ! Haha 😂
#metoo …. speaking of which there’s a horse called that in the last. out of form trainer but is 7 below last win, beat fav in this race off same terms, won over 7 is only thing, 8/1 for 4 places :/
Pi$$ prices but should win and Campanelle has been off since the Breeders Cup but like Gamine last week he should win as he likes!
Glad I got ex Gosden horse Darian last night.
Here’s hoping Flash Town gets us off to a flyer wire to wire as ‘they’ say 😉👍
Awe Dazzman I pat my shants there but well donr that jockey on Flash Town. 👏
Perfectly timed run, been a hanging job if he’d lost that on the other hand! Lol
Good work son 👍
Campanelle is NR! 🤦🏾🤔
Well if it’s not on its better than running for the sake off it and losing my £32.16p!
See hor Spice is Nice goes and maybe go a wee trixie for interest with a few I left out.
Sorry I’ll go a wee Trixie will I wait to see how Spice is Nice goes.
Na I can’t back much with any conviction in the USA.
Spice Is Nice was beaten by a cracker Swiss Skydiver in a G1 which I didn’t notice and didn’t mark down in my tracker. Obviously a break to overcome but NOTHING of that rating in here and still EVS on Bet365 and ATRs Barry is on board but I’ve it in a double so I won’t be backing it twice but certainly advise it!! 👍🇺🇸
2 horses in the same race…yeah I know but I’m already on Darian Ew(14/1) but going a single now my money has been returned from Campanelle being NR
Hit The Road -R9 Kneeland (***)
Tight with the favourite but better in it’s last run fir me.
GL yoll! 🇺🇸🐎
Does anyone remember the first time they step into a bookies ? I always remember standing outside Ladbrokes while my father was inside looking through the tassels on the open doors and the smoke wafting out then being aloud to creep in to the packed crowds and sounds of the radio commentary with crowds gathered around listening to it then watching many throw there betting slips to the ground happy days 🙂
Yeah I mind going in and out local was under construction at the time it was terrible looking and the smoking ban has not long kicked in before.
I put a few £1 bets on that win then upped it to £2.50 Ew on an 11/4 or something and the lady had to get the calculator out and she explained and I realised “ah 1/4 the odds” there’s no point in that and the rest is history.
Nice big winner here !
8:10 Kempton
Millicent 22/1 e/w
Megatap -R3. Oaklawn Park. 10/11 backed this before and I’ve seen it late but as always there way behind post time.
Must get off the mark today! Poor price but Steve Amussen doesn’t do donkeys after a few runs and beaten a head lto
Beaten by what looked a donkey but APOLOGIES they load up so quickly I’m USA that probably wasn’t worth posting and hopefully no one backed it.
Spice is NICE!!! 😉👍🇺🇸🐎
Small stakes on these 2x singles and a double before Hit The Road hits the turf..
Turf Paradise-R2….Unusual Dancer 11/10
Kneeland-R8…Aloha West. 2/1
