Sunday's sole selection had to settle for a third-place spot at Naas in the Listed race for fillies.

I was confused whilst watching the race, as the colours on all media outlets were slightly different to the silks Glyfada wore. I had to watch the replay back after knowing which was my horse.

After watching it back for a second time, she looked one-paced on the tacky ground and didn't have the turn of foot to get involved in the final stages. Being on the pace was the place to be, so she wasn't positioned terribly just behind the front pack. She did drift a little, so maybe she will come on a bit for the run.

Dandy Magic 2/1 – Musselburgh 3.47

Even though this isn't a big field race, the fact that Brian Ellison's horses on the flat are running well and the Karl Burke runner is unexposed makes it an interesting race.

Unfortunately, I do like the look of the favourite in this race. I say unfortunately because Paul Mulrennan is doing the steering, and I am not his biggest fan, and I think he rides like the Northern Jamie Spencer. However, that type of ride might be what Dandy Magic needs on her return to seven furlongs.

When she tried this trip in the past, she didn't run good races, but as time has gone on and she has matured, this trip looks in need. She is a hold-up type of horse, and she has been staying on at the finish in her races over six furlongs. She has shown she can compete at this level, and she does like a soft surface. There isn't any further rain expected at Musselburgh, so I'll be hoping it doesn't dry up too much.

Koffee And Kale 2/1 – Yarmouth 3.54

Koffee And Kale hasn't won for a very long time, and he has only won once in his career, but he is now reverting to five furlongs, and I think that could help.

He had a 7lb claimer in the saddle last time around, so he is effectively 7lb worse off this time around, but I think having a full professional in the seat makes up for that. He didn't get the best of passages at this track last week, but still recorded an RPR of 71, so if he did get a clear run, he probably would've won and got an even better rating.

I believe he has the speed to deal with the drop to five furlongs, and with many in this race being out of form, it shouldn't take much to win.
