JOHNB missed out on a winner on Tuesday with nap Prince Blackthorn coming closest with a second-placed finish at Sedgefield.
The NB floppd at Southwell where the other selection also floundered, so January now shows a 3.5 point loss so far.
The racing thread wasn't short of winners yesterday as the regulars all chipped in and JohnB hopes to get back on track with his Wednesday picks.

Pinkneys Prince (NAP)
“You can always forgive a horse that makes a mistake and falls if they normally jump well and that's the case for Pinkneys Prince.
“Last time out he was going well three out and still had a chance but fell. The first three home that day have since come out and won so that strengthens the form.
“The race before that was his only run of the 2013-14 season and won well, jumping well. A danger could be Uranium but the French form is hard to judge.
“Also, his last run came after a two-year break so having another run so early is a major doubt to his chances and comes with a big risk. I can't see anything else in the race although Money for Nothing might be able to grab a place.
“But my Nap Pinkneys Prince does look strong on form.”
Good luck everyone and as always post your tips and chat here.
