The Christmas period started well, but for both Rizz and I, the form has taken a significant dip since then. Rizz had a tough day yesterday, with both selections unable to land a blow during their races.
The Henderson runner was a complete flop, and if we are both honest, we haven't had much joy backing that particular yard's horses.
Rizzel's other selection was Lucky Lugger and despite running with credit, his effort also dwindled out in the business end and he finished a well beaten horse in the end.

Dashel Drasher 7/1 – Cheltenham 2.25
I did my study for Fridays racing quite late and I was surprised to see my sole selection on Friday drift in the market from 9/2 out to 7s at the time of writing.
Despite the drift, I'm holding firm on my choice as I feel Dashel Drasher has a solid chance of winning this contest.
Jermey Scotts veteran will be an all time favourite in most people's eyes and at the grand age of eleven, he has shown recently that the fire still burns in the old belly.
Dashel Drasher brings plenty of solid form to this contest. My selection was a Grade One winner over fences in 2021 while also winning a Grade Two over hurdles last season, when beating another all time favourite of mine in Paisley Park.
My selections most recent piece of form came in his seasonal reappearance two weeks ago at Ascot. Dashel Drasher managed to finish third behind Pic D'Orhy. That was his first start over fences in nearly two years and there were plenty of positives to take from that performance on the back of a 224 day break.
Dashel Drasher takes a drop in class for this contest and has been given a chance by the handicapper ( dropped 4lb ) and should come on for his recent run.
