Gregs10 1000

Mr Fixit might still be under the weather but he's challenged me to my very own £10-£1,000 in his absence so I've given it a go.

I was pleased to get off to a winning start on Wednesday as Bayer Leverkusen delivered over 5.5 team corners in rapid style as they hit 6 in the opening 13 minutes.

As I've said, slow and steady wins the race and there will be days like Thursday were I wait for the next day as nothing stands out. Not going to rush the selections, hopefully my patient approach will pay off.

If you've never done a bank-building challenge like this before here's how it works; I'll start with an amount I'm comfortable with  – this might be £1, it might be £20 – for me it's £10. I'll then place one bet at a time, all singles, and then I'll place all my winnings on the next bet. Some people will bank their winnings at some point during the challenge, but for me I'll keep going with the aim of getting to £1,000.

I'll be posting each leg of my Challenge here so make sure you check in every day to get the next bet. You can also follow me on twitter at @Browning84Greg.

Today's bet is with BetVictor so if you don't already have an account with them you should open one here to claim up to £30 in free bets when you deposit and bet a fiver*.

I've looked through Friday's card and it didn't take me long to find bet 2 of the challenge and it involves a team I've become very familiar with over the last few weeks

Bet No. 2

Wurzburger Kickers vs Chemnzitzer (KO 6pm)

A huge match for both these sides for contrasting reasons. The home side have the opportunity to go joint top whilst Chemnziter are in the thick of it at the bottom as they look to distance themselves from the relegation spots.

Wurzburger have been a favourite of mine over the last few weeks on the corner front and this match is set up perfectly with two sides with plenty to play for.

Nobody has delivered more corners in 3.Liga than Wurzburger (avg 6.5  team corners per game)  – 10 of their last 11 matches have delivered at least 10 corners and at home 14 of their 16 matches have reached 9+

Since returning they've seen 12/11/10/11/12/14 match corners and are conceding 4.0 corner per game at home.

The visitors are hitting just under 5.0 corners per game and given the magnitude of this match for both sides, I can't see either sitting back.  I do like the fact Chemnitzer have seen over 1.5 goals in 15 of their 16 away games whilst Wurzburger  are 14 of 16 at home.

With home advantage and the opportunity to go joint top, Wurzburger should ensure they continue their impressive corner counts against a side who are also in need of the points

Bet 2 – (£15.00)

I guess you’ll have to go between a few if they don’t offer the market. I noticed Paddy power didn’t offer corners in this game.
