MONDAY means reserve/development games and goals and there is a great looking one from the Scottish Reserve League as Hibernian host basement boys Queen of the South at the Oriam Centre in Edinburgh.

As I've said a number of times now the move to Reserves this season means clubs can play as many first-team players as they like and it's certainly been a disaster for the bookies who have been hit hard a good few times this season. You only have to look at some of the scores to see that with some clubs running out 6-0 and 7-0 winners. If I was a bookie I wouldn't offer markets on these games.

Looking to maintain my strong form in the Scottish games by making this my 14th winning NAP from the last 17 selections. This should just be a case of how many goals Hibs win by here.

Hibs Reserves vs QoS Reserves  (KO 2pm)

This is really quite simple this one – Hibs are 5th in the Reserve League with 20 points, they have a bigger squad and a better squad than QoS which allows them to play a higher quality of player in their reserve matches.

QoS are not enjoying life in the reserve league  – they are bottom of the league with just 2 points from 10 games and on the road they have conceded 4 goals at Celtic and Dundee and 3 at St Johnstone and Hamilton.

It must be hard for them competing here against clubs from the Scottish Premiership who can play any number of 1st team players and with QoS not having the biggest of squads it easy to see why they are bottom.

Hibs have won their last 4 games, scoring 15 goals and it's really just a case of how many they will win by today. Be interested to see Hibs starting XI but no reason to believe they won't give QoS a doing.

Surprised by the odds, don't think over 3.5 goals will be 4/5 come kick-off – Hibs' last 2 games at home (3-2 and 8-1 against much much stronger opposition than QoS).

Recommended Bet

  • Over 3.5 goals
  • 4/5 (Skybet) (NAP) (NB)
  • Over 1.5 first half goals
  • 8/11 (Bet365)

Celtic v Hearts could see a few goals too, both have had strong lineups recently and Celtics last 5 have had 21 goals and Hearts 29 goals in 5. I’ll steal yours for a double Greg ??

First class tipping Greg, I’ve got a rolling bet going with a mate and between Stenny on Saturday and today’s Reserve match we’re off to an absolute flyer. How you noticed that price on Stenny to score a goal I’ll never know. Cheers again.

      Thanks mate

It was really really lazy from the odds compilers. Stenny were in good form and the head to head and Arbroath defence frailties not taken into a account. That’s when we have an edge over the bookies, when it comes to goal makets

Stenny back in action tomorrow but just 2-5 to score at East Fife.
