TWO Scottish Cup matches today as Aberdeen host Rangers in what should be a cracker and Dundee United are at home to fellow Championship side Inverness CT.
Aberdeen vs Rangers is always a frantic affair and with no love lost between these two it should be the case again today, just feel Rangers will edge this to reach the semi-finals. Dundee United played ICT last week and earned a hard-fought 1-0 win, taking a similar outcome today.
Aberdeen vs Rangers (1.30pm)
It's the tie of the round in the Scottish Cup and will be Rangers' third trip to Pittodrie this season after fighting out a 1-1 draw at the start of the season then sweeping the Dons aside with a 4-2 hammering last month.
Steven Gerrard's side come into this in great shape having recorded 5-0, 4-0 and 4-0 wins since drawing at home to St Johnstone and will fancy their chances of claiming another here. It's Rangers only real chance for silverware, elimination at this stage of the competition would be unacceptable.
Aberdeen are hit and miss at the moment but there are real concerns over their home form. On the road they have been terrific but are now just one win in 7 at home and that includes a humiliating 1-1 draw against League One Stenhousemuir, shock 2-0 defeat against Hamilton and a poor 1-1 draw against St Mirren.
Rangers are in great form at the moment, have already won here in style this season and should edge it.
The bookies have taken no chances and have set the card count ridiculously high which makes it an easy decision to make and leave total card markets.
I do like the look of Graeme Shinnie to be booked. The Aberdeen captain has been booked in 8 of his 12 matches against Rangers playing for the Dons. He has been booked in 5 of 7 home games and looks a of shout to get booked again today
Recommended Bets:
- Rangers to beat Aberdeen
- 11/13 (UniBet)
- 2+ Goals / 8+ corners / 3+ Cards
- 1/1 (Skybet)
- Graeme Shinnie to be booked
- 6/4 (Skybet)
Dundee United vs Inverness CT (3.30pm)
It's not been pretty at times but Robbie Neilson's side have a steeliness about them that was certainly missing earlier in the season. They've won 4 of their last 5 with those 4 wins all being by one goal and are now undefeated in 5 at Tannadice.
They spent big in January and it's starting to reap its rewards with a Scottish Cup semi-final place up for grabs here.
They played ICT here last week and edged out the Highlanders 1-0 and we should expect another tight match – United have a lot of quality and experience and that should see them through at a very good price.
Recommended Bet
- Dundee United to beat ICT
- 23/20 (Betfred)

GregBrowning my cashout is now £213 with Lille- Dijon at 2pm then Lyon- Toulouse at 4pm

Both Lille and Lyon should win but how much does £213 mean to you?
Earlier you talked about taking £50 so think about it carefully.
I was down to £53 when Torino scored so I will think about it very carefully thanks Mrfixit I will be monitoring the 1st game very carefully and I’m happy with your advice about £213 it’s a good number I will keep you informed with my decision over the next 90 minutes of the Lille game
OK good luck – hope you get early goals in your favour and can relax.

And seconds later an equalizer.
Come on Dundee Utd lets have a winner please ……….
As I said before the two most over hyped football teams in Scottish football, in my opinion.
Dundee United and Hibernian.
