SUNDAY evening saw me don my Bermuda Shorts and Wayne “Hawaii 501” Mardle shirt as the Sentry came to a close with a pumped up G Wood (Gary Woodland) leading by 3 at 25/1 for Slice followers. What followed can only be described as awful for G Wood but magical for golf.

Journal author Xander went berserk and posted an 11 under round to pip us to the post, a super golf showing and deserving of the victory just from an impressive G Wood.

I honestly thought the outfit choice would help, as when Lipsky won in South Africa I was in a full leopard onesie. We settled for sole 2nd and after a 7 point investment we got 10.8 back, a positive start to 2019.

The stress of the situation led me to breaking dry January after only 5 days and consuming Aldi liquer off the wife's sister followed by a few bottles of Moët still left over from that epic 175/1 Lipsky win (promise I won't mention that again).

Drunk, I booked a holiday to the Ukraine (not sure why) and consumed even more food than necessary, four burritos on Saturday followed by a chocolate trifle led to toilet issues overnight.

This week's golf is in Hawaii again would you believe, and comes in the form of the SONY OPEN.

It's a completely different entity from last week as it's tight fairways meaning its all about accuracy off the tee. It's definitely score able as recent results here will show but fairways are a must.

Also note the time difference for UK viewing, last week was a slug fest at best for myself the late nights led me to booking the spare room and stocking up on cranberry juice , it's not for the faint hearted.

4 selections this week

1st up is KYLE ‘THE KNIFE’ STANLEY last year Kyle came 2nd at 125/1 and I was on , what he showed me that week was he was dynamite with finding fairways even if the putter sometimes dropped off , he had a great year last year and has had some rest , I make him my number 1 pick this week.

2nd place goes to Mr large MARC LEISHMAN , leishman was solid last week and revels in windy conditions , he is also a serial fairway finder AND CRIMINALLY UNDERRATED.

3rd spot goes to KEVIN KISNER , Terible in Dances with Wolves but resurgent as a golfer, kisner is another man renowned for his accuracy off the tee. A pretty poor showing last year led to a plummet in the rankings , but the odd glimpse tells me he’s still got something.

Last selection at a price is Phil and Grants cousin- Keith Mitchell the native Tennessee man is Roger Federer with his irons so if he starts finding the short stuff look out. Aunty Peggy will surely be cheering on.
A big shout out to Sri lankan daz without him it wouldn't be possible and to long time follower baz bizmark he knows who he is .

Good luck love 3 SLICE X

Top notch tipping … AMA tail on this one and you can’t be blamed for still mentioning the 175/1 Lipsky win that was some WINNER 👌🏼
