With no PGA Tour event this week we focus all our attention on the DP World Tour with the Made in Himmerland at Himmerland, Farso, Denmark.
The 156 field with again the top 65 including ties making it to the weekend will all be competing for a share of the €3M prize pot with the winner collecting the Made in Himmerland title and a cheque for half a million Euros.
With none of the Top 60 ranked golfers in attendance, the door could be ajar for yet another maiden DP World Tour title this weekend in Denmark but who could it be?
This stunning Himmerland course will be playing 6,686 yards long this week or short as the case may be. It’s a par 71 parkland layout where low scoring will be the name of the game, expect plenty of scorecards in the 60s around here, it’s a big hitters paradise.
Bernd Wiesberger will not return to Himmerland to defend his crown but last year's runner-up Guido Migliozzi will be in attendance to hopefully go one better this year.
This event will be screened on Sky Sports Golf with live coverage starting at midday on Thursday.
The weather is forecast to be mainly pleasant with sunshine throughout and some cloudy intervals. Breezes will peak at around 14mph over the weekend.
So let’s move on with this week's Made in Himmerland betting selections.
Made in Himmerland Betting Tips
Richard Mansell
For my first and main betting tip at Made in Himmerland, I’m going to advise Richard Mansell 28/1 EW 1-8 places William Hill.
The 27yrs old Englishman seems to have pooped up from nowhere but his consistent form this year means he’s flashing up red all over the radar. I mentioned this could be yet another ideal opportunity for a maiden winner on the DP World circuit and I can’t think of anyone who fits that bill better than Mansell.
He has simply come on leaps and bounds since progressing from the Challenge Tour in 2019 and this year’s form has been sensational, the only thing missing is a victory. With two Top 5 finishes in his last three attempts, it’s clear to see why I’m interested here.
Third place and on the winner's podium last weekend at the Omega European Masters, 23rd the previous week at the D&D Czech Masters, 4th the weekend before at the ISPS Handa World Invitation and five Top 10 finishes this year.
I’ll give you a whole host of key stats if you're still pondering. Ranked 9th on the DP World Tour this year for Driving Distance at 317.07, 10th Sand Saves at 64.71% and 5th Greens in Regulation at 71.28%, it’s not often you see any player with a number of key stats in the Top 10. Another worth a mention is 17th for Total Stroke Average at 70.37.
I’m just adding up here and in my book, all the above-mentioned tally up to a well-deserved maiden DP crown for Richard Mansell at the Made in Himmerland this Sunday afternoon.
Matt Wallace
For my next suggestion, I’m going to single out Matt Wallace 22/1 EW 1-8 places William Hill. The talented 32yrs old from Hillingdon in England can boast something that most in this field can’t, DP World Tour titles, four to be exact.
Winner at all these events, Open de Portugal in 2017 and three more in 2018 including the Hero Indian Open, Made in Denmark, and also the BMW International Open. That winning experience as well as some fine recent form which saw Wallace finish runner-up at last week's Omega European Masters could be all we need to know.
But there's more. The Englishman also has five Top 10 finishes over on the PGA Tour which include a podium finish at a major when finishing 3rd at the PGA Championship in 2019.
One of those Top 10s over in the states was only a few weeks ago at the Rocket Mortgage Classic where Wallace finished T10th. I'm going to strongly advise that Matt Wallace can taste victory for the first time in four years with trophy number five on the return flight .
Sebastian Soderberg
For my next recommendation, I’m going to point you all in the direction of Sebastian Soderberg 80/1 EW 1-6 places Unibet. The 31yrs old from Eksjo in Sweden seems very reasonably priced in my book considering you could probably throw a blanket over this weaker lineup.
Another of the select few with a DP World Tour title in the bag when winning the Omega European Masters in 2019.
As long as he remains challenging on Sunday afternoon then this winning mentality could see him over the line once again. The Swede already has three Top 10 finishes this year, 10th at the Steyn City Championship, T5th at the Dutch Open and runner-up at the Betfred British Masters.
With two second-place finishes last year also at the Mallorca Golf Open and the Andalucia Masters, I’d say the firms are being a tad generous here with the 80/1 on offer.
I was watching Soderberg last week at the Omega European Masters where he finished fourteenth and some of his ball striking was sublime. With six places up for grabs in each way stakes, take the 80/1 while you can safe in the knowledge that a place in the Top 6 will return a tidy profit but hopefully much more with the win.
For my final tip this week it’s the customary match bet and for this week's Nap in Denmark I’m going to advise one of our very own, Robert MacIntyre to get the better of Rasmus Hojgaard over 72 holes 10/11 Bet365 Nap.

I have been keeping tabs on Richard Mansell this season, often wondered if he is any relation to Nigel who was/is a decent golfer, seem to remember him playing in the Aussie open some years a go.
None whatsoever, but he does drive ?
Nigel Mansell did actually play in the 1988 Australian Open but only because he was friends with Greg Norman,.total pals act but they got away with it ? Incidentally he shot a first round 77 then 86 on day two. After a few holes he was actually at the top of the leaderboard but yip he is or was definitely a motor racing driver. Don’t think for a minute that my golfing knowledge has so much depth I had to Google that ?? Good luck troops ?⛳️
