The DP World Tour and my golf betting tips continue as we land in France this week for the Cazoo Open de France at Le Golf National, Paris.

The 156 field with again the top 65 including ties making it to the weekend will all be competing for a share of the €3M prize purse with the winner collecting the Open de France title and a cheque for €510,000.

Le Golf National will be playing 7,247 yards long this week, it’s a par 71 parkland layout where accuracy will be the key to success around this tough tricky track with water hazards galore to negotiate. This was the venue for the Ryder Cup in 2018.

With no Open de France in 2020 and 2021 due to the Covid outbreak, Nicolas Colsaerts returns to defend his title having won this event in 2019.

The weather is forecast to be mainly sunny and pleasant throughout with the possibility of showers on Saturday. Breezes shouldn’t pose any problems peaking at around 7mph.

This event will be screened on Sky Sports Golf and Sky Sports Main Event with live coverage starting at 12.30 pm on Thursday afternoon.

So let’s move on with this week's betting tips for the Open de France.

Cazoo Open de France Betting Preview

Victor Perez 20/1 EW 1-7 places Skybet

For my first and main prediction in Paris, I’m going to single out Victor Perez 20/1 EW 1-7 places Skybet. The 30-year-old Frenchman arrives home fresh from a third-place finish last time out at the Italian Open and can boast something that most in this field can’t, a victory this year when claiming the Dutch Open.

That win in the Netherlands was the second DP World Tour Title for Perez having already bagged the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in 2019. He also has another two Top 10 performances this year when finishing 8th at the ISPS Handa Championship in Spain and T3rd at the Porsche European Open.

Perez ranks 20th on the DP World Tour this year for Greens in Regulation which is consistent and I believe that a return to form this year could pay off with another victory for the Frenchman, on home soil in front of his fans when he scoops the Cazoo French Open this weekend in Paris.

Ryan Fox 30/1 EW SportNation

For my next betting tip, I’m going to advise Ryan Fox 30/1 EW SportNation. The 35-year-old old from Auckland, New Zealand arrives in Paris as the second highest ranked player in this field and could make his ranking and class show this weekend at Le Golf National.

This tricky track will suit Ryan Fox to a tee, forgive the pun but I’ll provide a host of stats and performances that back up my decision to include him this week.

Fox is another who can boast two DP World crowns which include a victory this year when bagging the Ras Al Khaimah Classic a few months back.

His other victory came at the ISPS Handa World 6 in 2019. Fox also has five runner-up prizes on the DP World Tour which include three this year alone when finishing T2nd at the Soudal Open, 2nd at the Dutch Open and 2nd at the Irish Open.

On the stats front the Kiwi ranks 14th on the DP World Tour this year for Putts per GIR at 1.63, 10th for Driving Distance at 315.04 and 3rd for Stroke Average at 69.87.

If Fox can overcome the injury that made him pull out from his last two events, then expect the Kiwi to prevail in Paris as Ryan Fox claims his third title winning the Open de France this weekend.

Hennie Du Plessis 70/1 EW 1-8 places William Hill

For my next suggestion, I’m going to point you all in the direction of Hennie Du Plessis 70/1 EW 1-8 places William Hill. The 25-year-old South African is a tad overpriced in my book and could offer generous pickings for us all to savour this weekend. He finished inside the Top 20 last time out with 16th place at the Omega European Masters.

He can also back that up with another three Top 10 finishes this year which include T6th at the MyGolfLife Open, T3rd at the ISPS Handa Championship in Spain and T6th at the Catalunya Championship. But it’s the stats that have me interested when doing my homework on Du Plessis.

On the DP World Tour this season, the talented South African has a bag full of tricks, check this out, he is ranked 7th for Driving Distance at 318.07, 8th Putts for GIR at 1.61 and 2nd for Stroke Average at 69.63.

Still looking to claim that maiden European title, it could be as soon as this weekend that Henne Du Plessis is crowned the king of kings when named a DP World Tour Champion bagging the Open De France in Paris.

For my final selection, it’s the customary match bet and for this week's NAP I’m going to advise Victor Perez again but this time to beat Jordan Smith over 72 holes, 6/5 Betfair Nap.
