WITH the recent addition of Desmond to the site we have a tipster who will only advise 2+ goals bets.
It's a market I've dabbled in over the past couple of years but it's mostly backing sides who are too short on the WDW market.
Desmond started well enough and his Tuesday double just fell short with Torquay scoring one. But as he double staked on Bromley his loss was just 0.17pts.
Looking about 2+ goals bets got me thinking who were teams that were most reliable. A couple of weeks ago someone asked if I was tipping overs at Bodo/Glimt and it was partly through that comment I checked their game at the weekend and picked them and of course they won 2-1.
There are other sides who stand out for goals and overs – the likes of Rangers and Dunfermline in Scotland and Colchester and Morecambe in England so that's five teams straight away. And I've included Bromley who have now won their last three 7-3, 3-2 and 3-2 – in fact they've moved up a few places.
I've decided to put together a top 10 of “go to” teams for 2+ goals or over 2.5 goals and every time they play the chart will be adjusted – teams will fall places if they don't bring up a goals bet and climb if they do.
Last night Borussia Dortmund were knocked off the top after a 1-1 draw at Hoffenheim and have been replaced by Bayern Munich who won 5-1 against Wolfsburg on Tuesday.
I'd like people to nominate teams they believe are reliable for goals and we'll have a list of clubs who could be new entrants. It could be a team from anywhere – I've focused mainly on Europe's top leagues and Scottish and English leagues.
Every weekend I'll advise some bets purely from looking at the top 10 – it will an interesting experiment to see if we can pick winners going by stats alone. Last night Napoli moved down a few places after a 0-0 draw at Carpi.
Also something to look at this weekend is the fact only four teams in the UK have seen all of their games bring up btts this season. Got a text from Greg Browning about this. They are Carlisle, Fulham, Leicester and St Johnstone – that now relates to league games after Fulham's 1-0 defeat at home to Stoke on Tuesday.
But Carlisle – even at Anfield – Leicester and St Johnstone kept up the run in their midweek cup clashes.
TOP 10
1. Bayern Munich
(7 in a row scoring 2+, 7 in a row over 2.5 goals)
2. Borussia Dortmund

Others to consider
(2+ or overs)
Grasshoppers
Lucerne
Schalke
Cologne
Empoli
Livorno
Sassuolo
Leicester
Celtic
St Johnstone
Good information, worth a look, many thanks.
Wheres livorno ?? 2+ and over 2.5 in all 4 opening games !
Fc wacker innsbruck 8 out of first 10 2+
9 out 10 over 2.5
SGT, it’s one to look out for – as I said in the post I want suggestions but have only looked at top-flight leagues outside the UK.
The mighty Grasshopper
And if my old friends Parnu hadn’t got promoted tbey would have been included, haha :)
Greg, Lucerne should be there too.
Sorry mate miss read it ! Great information tho
Oh and any team from Norway with a “II” or “2” at the end of their name :)
Greg, we could end up with a top 40!
Gotta thank thewatcher for alerting me to Stamford! Played 9, scored 25, conceded 35!
Already been mentioned but i’ll second Stamford.
Odd have been good for goals in Norway having hit a run of form. In Belgium, Mechelen and Waasland-Beveren are normally good for some goals.
Clydebank??
Greg, Bankies have scored 13 in their four league games but bookies don’t price up goals bets in the juniors despite my requests.
FC Liefering are very reliable for goals, as are Basel.
I can understand why they don’t Paul, over 2.5 would be 1/8
Swiss kings BASLE, from last 20 in all competitions over 2.5 has come up in 17, 16 of those BASLE have scored 2+, two of the 3 under 2.5 were in champ league qualifiers
Mr. F, Melbourne heart in Australia.
Love this new addition and other additions to the site Mr F it’s a nice variety for different punters with different betting styles.
Mr F I know promoting other sites are forbidden but would you mind if I shared the site page that I use for goals stats?? It’s from a site that gives predictions but not in a forum manner like this. Think it could be very helpful for a lot of newcomers getting into goals betting
Mr H, if they give tips then no – I’m sorry.
If it’s just stats I have no problem.
It’s more of a score predictor based on the stats it provides…based on probability rather than someone like yourself giving tips and pointers . I understand though
Limerick in Ireland
Vitoria Setubal in Portugal
Both of these teams are worth looking at for goals.
Whoscored.com give good stats on the teams playing that day. Haven’t used it for a while with all the leagues just starting but did me well in the off season with leagues I knew little of. Sweden being one of them.
As Greg stated before Grasshoppers should be in 1st place
Grasshoppers stats for first 8 league games…
They have scored 2+ in all 8 games and conceded 2+ in 6 of 8 games.
7 of the 8 games has seen btts & o4.5gls
They have scored 27 and conceded 17 at an average of 5.5gls per game
87% of games has seen o4.5gls
Totally agree Mr.H. Grasshoppers and Basle are the most consistent goal getters averaging 3 goals in all their league games home and away. If you want to make money on over 2.5 goals or to score 2+ goals, btts, then you will be in profit. Also well done to everyone else who have mentioned teams from the Swiss league. That’s what i love bout this site people doing good research and uncovering gems like Stamford from the Northern league who throw out the we don’t defend mentality. Thanks to The Watcher for that wee cracker.
Heres a team for your list:
Caramba / Dinamo Riga { Latvian 1st division}
Scored 62 goals from last 11 aways,conceding just 3,Next away date: 26 sept…LUMP ON!!! ;)
Sean Ireland, OK a good one to look out for.
Calling it a night – busy day tomorrow and back at work in the evening.
Sean I’ll see your Caramba and raise you Asker Norway 3rd Group 2
P21 W20 D1 L0 F124 A15

They play at home on Saturday the same as Caramba
Mr F great wee thread. This is a great idea
Mr fixit i love this post nice to see teams i have never heard of really grateful
For me my team has always been SHKENDIJA in the FYR MACEDONIA league this boys score at least 3 or more goals in every game both home and away. They never disappoint.
Crusaders
Lingfield
RB Salzburg
Liefering
Wolfsburg
Napoli
all at home to score 2 plus
Nap of the day Dunfermline 1.53 OVER 2.5 LAST 7/7
Brechin 1 – 6 Dunfermline
15-08-2015 Dunfermline 7 – 1 Cowdenbeath
22-08-2015 Peterhead 2 – 1 Dunfermline

Gorica (Slovenia), Stamford FC (England – North Conference), Aberystwyth (Wales), Hapoel Raanana (Israel), Almere (Holland), Vitoria (Portugal), Celta Vigo (Spain) and Cobresal (Chile) all have 100% games over 2.5 this season thus far.
Other regular reliable teams include:
Red Bull Salzburg (Austria), New York Red Bulls (USA), Toronto (USA), The New Saints (Wales), Real Madrid (Spain), Barcelona (Spain) , Al-Jazira (UAE), Al-Sadd (Qatar), Luqueno (Paraguay), Ullisses 2 ( Armenia Div 1), Carolina Railhawks (USA), Zilina (Slovakia), Leon (Mexico), Veracruz (Mexico).
Jordan can also give us some teams from usa,
also herediano maybe.
Just browsing through some of the lower league games and can’t believe Macclesfield are 6/5 to see them score over 1.5TG at home to Barrow. They put four past high flying Forest Green the weekend.
Gateshead over 1.5TG
6/5
William Hill
Macclesfield over 1.5TG
6/5
William Hill
Both singles and a double as well.
Gateshead over 1.5 goals looks bet of the night for me. Southport scored two against a very poor performing Halifax side. Good luck Craigy boy
With 10 men of course.
Lovely thread
Carlisle one to consider atm
Pescara 2+ for tonight
Craigyboy. Be careful there though as Forest Green were a man down from about just before half time I think. At which point it was 1-1. I could be slightly wrong on the facts there but the man they lost definitely had a big effect on the game
Good thread Mr F. Bayern will fill there boots in that league. They play Mainz away on saturday and have scored 2 or more goals in 8 of there 9 visits to Mainz!
Also fancy Carlisle to score 2+ at home to bottom of the league Newport
Looking at the list a double over 1.5 team goals for Napoli and Dortmund has a good chance tonight!
Don’t know how obscure we’re allowed to go on this but how about
Hoffenheim u19
Last 13 over 2.5ftg with 11 being over 3.5ftg
They’ve scored 2+ in last 6
Full time goal line in this league is commonly 3.5ftg though so maybe not as impressive as first look suggests
Richard, don’t mind you mentioning it but too obscure for me to track to be honest.
Goals.
Goals everywhere.
Mr F can I make a suggestion that would top off this great addition to the site.
Beside each of your suggested top 10 teams could you please post the date on which they play their next match. That way it’s super easy to stick them in our bets. One quick glance and we all know that they will be playing at some point during that day.
Anyone agree?
Wolverine, I totally agree but I don’t have time to look out all the dates of the next games.
For anyone interested they can look at live score, soccerway or club websites.
That’s absolutely fair enough Mr F.
I’ll nominate Leicester. League, Cup, Pre-season friendlies; all BTTS this season.
Stamford.
Especially away.
Scored 15
Conceded 21.
In 5 away games
That’s 36 match goals in 5 always. Madness….
Their homes only average 6 goals per game. Yahooooo
Basel should be in there also.
