Monday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on the Chinese Super League, and there’s one side in particular that appeals to me collect all three points.
⚽️ Tianjin Jinmen Tiger vs Guangzhou FC
🇨🇳 Super League
⏰ Monday 5th December, 11:00
Two sides in contrasting form in the Chinese Super League meet at the Wuyuan River Stadium tomorrow morning as in-form Tianjin Jinmen Tiger take on struggling Guangzhou FC.
Tianjin Jinmen Tiger continued their impressive recent run of form with a 1-0 success over the other Guangzhou-based club Guangzhou City last Wednesday. Yu Genwei’s side has now won eight of their previous 11 league matches, with their three defeats in that run coming against each of the current top-three sides in the table. The Tigers have also won five of their previous six league matches as hosts, scoring 13 goals across those fixtures, conceding just four times.
Guangzhou FC’s winless run in the league was extended to 15 matches last Thursday, as they fell to a 2-0 defeat to Chengdu Rongcheng. Only rock-bottom Hebei have collected fewer points on their travels than the record eight-time champions, collecting just five points from a possible 30. Ex-Celtic player Zheng Zhi has seen his side concede 31 goals across their 15 league matches on the road, scoring just seven times.
Bet of the Day
Given the contrasting form both sides enter this fixture in, I can’t see anything other than a win for Tianjin Jinmen Tiger. The Tigers have won five of their previous six at home -including each of their last four – and I expect them to collect another maximum against a Guangzhou FC side that is winless in each of their previous 15 league outings and who have collected just five points on their travels all season.
