Two clubs separated only by goal difference in the Spanish Segunda table meet at the Estadio Carlos Tartiere on Saturday evening as eighth-placed Real Oviedo entertains sixth-placed Granada in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.
Javier Calleja’s hosts have scored 26 goals across their opening 18 contests in the Spanish Segunda this term, with 16 (62%) of them coming across their eight home encounters.
Los Azules have failed to score in just one of their eight league outings in front of their supporters – notching on multiple occasions in four of their past five – and will look to breach a Granada backline that has kept a solitary shutout across their last seven road trips, shipping multiple goals in five (71%) of them.
Fran Escriba’s visitors are the joint second-highest scorers in the Spanish second tier, banging in 30 goals across their opening 18 encounters, with 13 (43%) of them coming across their eight road trips.
The Nazrids have failed to score in just one of their league outings – notching on multiple occasions in eight of their past 14 – and will look to find the target once again against an Oviedo defence that’s without a clean sheet in each of their past eight league outings, including each of their last five at home.

Granada’s opening 16 contests in the Spanish second tier have averaged 2.94 goals per game, with Over 2.5 Goals paying out in a joint league-high 13 (72%) of them – including in eight of their previous nine – whilst six of their last seven encounters on the road have also produced at least three goals.
Real Oviedo’s opening eight Segunda contests in front of their supporters this campaign have averaged an eye-catching 3.38 goals per game, with Over 2.5 Goals banking in six (75%) of them – including in each of their last five – meaning I’m happy to have a play on these two sides to be involved in another high-scoring encounter.
