Sunday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me take a trip to the Norwegian second tier, and I’ve highlighted one fixture in particular that appeals to me for goals.

Two clubs separated only by two places in the OBOS-ligaen table meet at the Nadderud Stadion on Sunday afternoon as 7th-placed Stabæk play host to 9th-placed Levanger in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.
Bob Bradley’s hosts are the joint highest-scorers in the Norwegian second tier, slamming in 31 goals across their opening 12 matches, with 16 (52%) of them coming on home soil.
The Blues have failed to score just once in the league this campaign – striking on multiple occasions in a remarkable nine of their last 10 – and will be confident of continuing their incredible form in front of goal against Levanger defence that has shipped multiple goals in 5/6 (83%) of their road trips in the league this season.
Newly promoted Levanger have scored 22 goals across their opening 12 fixtures in the Norwegian second tier this term, with nine (41%) of them coming on their travels.
Per Verner Rønning’s visitors have failed to score just once in the league this campaign – striking on multiple occasions in six (50%) of them – and will look to trouble a Stabæk defence that has registered only two clean sheets in the league this season, with only the bottom-two conceding more than the 25 they have shipped.

Stabæk’s opening 12 OBOS-Ligaen fixtures have averaged a staggering 4.67 goals per game, with Over 3.5 Goals paying out in nine of their previous 10 – and given the same has landed in 5/6 (83%) of Levanger’s road trips in the league this season – I’m happy to have a punt on there being a minimum of four strikes in what promises to be a high-scoring encounter.
