After returning to winning ways and making it five winners from the past six in Norway on Saturday, Sunday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to the MLS, and I’ve highlighted a selection involving the Western Conference leaders.

In-form San Diego will look to maintain their position at the top of the Western Conference table as they welcome the Houston Dynamo to the Snapdragon Stadium in a fixture that I’m keen to get the hosts on side.
June proved to be a terrific month for San Diego, as they followed up their 2-0 win at home to Austin FC by winning three successive away games at Minnesota United (1-4), Vancouver Whitecaps (3-5) and FC Dallas (2-3).
Mikey Varas’s men have now won eight and lost just one of their previous 10 MLS matches (W8-D1-L1), and will be confident of claiming another three points against their poor-travelling hosts.
Houston Dynamo did return to winning ways last time out, as they won 1-0 at home to poor-travelling St. Louis City, who are in 14th position in the Eastern Conference.
Prior to that, Ben Olsen’s visitors had lost three consecutive matches in the MLS by a 1-3 scoreline, losing at home to both CF Montreal and Sporting KC and away at Minnesota United.
Bet of the Day
I successfully backed San Diego FC to score at least twice in their 2-3 victory away at FC Dallas last Saturday, and I see no reason to oppose the in-form hosts here.
As already mentioned, Mikey Varas’s hosts have won eight of their previous 10 MLS contests (W8-D1-L1) – as well as seven of their past nine at home (W7-D1-L1) – scoring 2+ goals in each of those victories.
Given that The Dynamo have shipped multiple goals in all nine of their defeats in the MLS this campaign, I’m happy to back the Western Conference leaders to win and score at least twice in California in the early hours of Sunday morning.
