Hoping to return to winning ways after a disappointing weekend, Tuesday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to the EFL, and I’ve highlighted a goals-based selection involving one of the teams.

Two clubs in contrasting form in League Two meet at The County Ground on Tuesday evening as resurgent Swindon entertain away-day strugglers Tranmere in a fixture that I’m keen to get the hosts on side.
Swindon head into this clash after securing a 1-2 victory away at Newport at the weekend, meaning they have now won four and lost just one of their past eight league outings (W4-D3-L1), moving them up into 18th position, 10 points clear of the relegation zone.
Since his arrival at the end of October, Ian Holloway has taken 14 points from his seven games in charge at The County Ground (W4-D2-L1), winning four of his past five, only dropping points in a goalless draw with second-placed Crewe in foggy conditions.
Tranmere, on the other hand, failed to hold on against Gillingham at the weekend, as they drew 1-1 at home to The Gills, meaning The Merseyside club have won just two of their last 12 League Two tussles (W2-D3-L7).
Whilst that draw did extend their unbeaten run at home to five matches, it’s their away form that has been a real concern for Nigel Adkins’s side, with them having lost each of their previous seven and nine of their past 11 League Two contests on the road (W1-D1-L9).
Bet of the Day
Couple of ways to approach this match, but given Swindon aren’t exactly watertight at the back, I’m opting to back them to Score Over 1.5 Goals instead of the win.
After scoring just seven goals across their opening seven league outings on home soil, The Robins have scored 13 in their next six, notching on multiple occasions in five (83%) of them – only failing to do so against second-placed Crewe in that run – and I’m backing them to continue their impressive goal-scoring record in-front of goals in recent weeks against a Tranmere defence that is without a clean sheet in each of their past 12 road trips in League Two, shipping 2+ goals in six of their last seven and eight of their previous 11.
