Wednesday’s Football Bet of the Day see’s me ignore the Champions League and focus on the second tier in Norway. Goals should flow when Raufoss meet Start and HamKam should win yet again.

Raufoss vs Start

🇳🇴 OBOS-Ligaen

⏰ Wednesday 29th September, 17:00

Raufoss host Start at the NAMMO Stadion on Wednesday teatime. Five points and five places separate these two as Raufoss sit in 7th, whereas Start sit in 12th.

Raufoss come into this after securing back to back victories, scoring seven goals. Raufoss rarely fail to Score, as they’ve scored in 18 of their 20 fixtures this season, scoring 36 goals. Raufoss don’t tend to keep too many clean sheets, as they’ve only kept four all season in which they’ve conceded 32 goals.

Start’s games have been full of goals recently with 28 goals scored in their last five games. In fact, 14 of their last 15 matches has seen both sides scoring. Only three sides have scored more than Start’s 37, with 19 of them coming on their travels. However, Start have the joint worst defence, conceding 43 goals in their 20 matches. Start have only failed to score once all season, however they’ve only kept two clean sheets.

HamKam vs Sandnes Ulf

🇳🇴 OBOS-Ligaen

⏰ Wednesday 29th September, 19:00

Sandnes Ulf make the daunting trip to the Briskeby Arena to take on HamKam. The hosts currently sit top after 20 rounds, four points clear. The visitors Sandnes Ulf lie in 10th but are only three points above the relegation play-off spot.

HamKam come into this in superb form as they’re unbeaten in their last seven matches, winning six of them. HamKam are the leagues joint top goalscorers with 45 goals, with 24 of them coming at home. HamKam have the leagues best defence, keeping clean sheets in half of their games and conceding only 16 goals. Overall, HamKam have won 14 of their 20 matches, with them only losing three times.

Sandnes Ulf are winless in their last three matches on the road, losing the last two. Sandnes Ulf have only won twice on their travels, losing five times. Only seven of their 23 points have against sides in the top half. Sandnes Ulf don’t tend to enjoy facing HanKam as they’ve lost their last four fixtures against them.

Bet of the Day

Goals should follow when Raufoss host Start. Start’s games have been full of goals recently and with both sides scoring in 37/40 combined matches, they will be confident on getting on the scoresheet. Clean sheets are rare for both sides also which further strengthens my belief both will score. HamKam will look to keep up their brilliant recent form by collecting another three points against Sandnes Ulf. The visitors pick up majority of their points against sides in the bottom half and tend to struggle against the leagues better sides. HamKam should have too much quality for their opponents and collect another three points.
