After returning to winning ways in Philadelphia in the early hours of Sunday morning, Wednesday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on the Norwegian second tier, and I’ve highlighted a goals-based selection in one of the fixtures.

Two clubs separated only by three points in the Norwegian OBOS-ligaen table meet at the Gjemselund Stadion on Wednesday night as third-placed Kongsvinger hosts eighth-placed Aalesund in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.
Johann Vennberg’s hosts are the leading scorers in the Norwegian OBOS-ligaen this term, firing in 23 goals across their opening 10 matches, with 14 (61%) of them coming in front of their supporters.
Only leaders Lillestrom have prevented Kongsvinger from scoring in the league this season, with KIL notching on multiple occasions in six (60%) of their contests – including in three of their past four on home soil – and will be confident of breaching an Aalesund defence that has shipped 2+ goals in all four of their meetings with teams currently positioned inside the top-six.
Kjetil Rekdal’s visitors have scored 15 goals across their opening nine contests in the Norwegian second tier this campaign, with five (33%) of them coming in their three away matches.
The Tangoshirts have failed to score in just two of their league matches this season, notching on multiple occasions in five (56%) of them – including in three of their past five – and will look to breach a Kongsvinger backline that is without a clean sheet in each of their previous seven league outings, shipping 2+ goals in five of their past six.

Kongsvinger’s opening 10 matches in the Norwegian second tier have averaged a league-high 3.70 goals per game, with Both Teams to Score banking in seven (70%) of them – including in six of their last seven – whilst seven of their previous eight have seen a minimum of three goals.
Aalesund’s opening nine OBOS-ligaen fixtures this season have averaged 2.89 goals per game, with Both Teams to Score banking in six (67%) of them, whilst five (56%) have gone over 2.5 Goals, including 2/3 (67%) away from home (3-4, 0-0 & 2-1).
What’s more, the two meetings between the sides last season produced an eye-catching 14 goals – with Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals landing on each occasion (1-5 & 4-4) – and I’m expecting another high-scoring encounter between these two in Eastern Norway on Wednesday.
