After making it four consecutive winners in Iceland on Sunday, Monday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me delve into the Chinese Super League, and I’ve highlighted a goals-based selection in one of the fixtures.
⚽️ Shenzhen Peng City vs Shanghai Port
🇨🇳 Super League
⏰ Monday 30 June, 13:00
Reigning champions Shanghai Port will look to keep pace with the three sides above them in the Chinese Super League table as they travel to the Shenzhen Stadium on Monday afternoon to take on 13th-placed Shenzhen Peng City in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.
Shenzhen Peng City have scored 16 goals across their opening 15 matches in the Chinese Super League this term, with 13 (81%) of them coming in front of their supporters.
Christian Lattanzio’s hosts have found the back of the net in all seven (100%) of their league outings on home soil – notching 2+ goals in three (43%) of them – and will look to get on the scoresheet once again at home against a Shanghai Port defence that’s kept just three clean sheets in the Chinese Super League this season, with just one of those coming on their travels.
Kevin Muscat’s visitors are the third-highest scorers in the Chinese Super League, slamming in 34 goals across their opening 15 matches, with 17 (50%) of them coming across their six road trips.
The Red Eagles have found the back of the net in all 15 (109%) of their league outings this term, striking 2+ goals in 11 (73%) of them – including in 6/6 (100%) of their away encounters – and will be confident of breaching a Shenzhen Peng City defence that’s kept just three clean sheets and conceded 33 goals across their opening 15 Chinese Super League fixtures this season.
Bet of the Day
Shenzhen Peng City’s opening 15 contests in the Chinese top-flight have averaged 3.27 goals per game, with Over 2.5 Goals paying out in 11 (73%) of them, whilst Both Teams to Score has landed in 6/7 (86%) of their matches as hosts (3-4, 1-3, 3-1, 1-1, 1-0, 3-1, 1-2).
Shanghai Port’s opening 15 Chinese Super League fixtures this season have averaged an eye-catching 3.53 goals per game, with Both Teams to Score landing in a league-high 12 (80%) of them, whilst 11 (73%) of them have seen a minimum of three goals – including 5/6 (80%) of them away from home (3-3, 1-4, 2-3, 0-2, 2-2 & 1-3).
Shanghai Port should have no trouble scoring here, but given their lack of clean sheets and Shenzhen Peng City’s goal-scoring record at home, I reckon there’s a good chance we’ll see at least three goals, with both teams contributing.
- Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals
- Pays 17/20 (Betway/William Hill)
