Following the surprising lack of goals in Germany on Friday, Saturday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to the English third tier, and I’ve highlighted a goals-based selection in one of the fixtures.

League One pacesetters Wycombe will look to maintain their position at the top of the table as they travel to Sincil Bank to take on sixth-placed Lincoln on Saturday afternoon in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.
Michael Skubala’s hosts have scored 21 goals across their opening 15 fixtures in League One this term, with 12 (57%) of them coming in front of their supporters.
The Imps have found the back of the net in all bar one of their league contests on home soil – striking on multiple occasions in three of their past four and four of their previous six – and will look to trouble a Wycombe defence that’s registered just two clean sheets on the road this season, shipping multiple goals in 4/8 (50%) of them.
Matt Bloomfield’s visitors are the leading scorers in League One this campaign, slamming in 32 goals across their opening 14 matches, with 19 (59%) of them coming on their travels.
The Chairboys are yet to fail in finding the target in the league – remarkably striking on multiple occasions in 12 (86%) of them – and will look to add to their already impressive goal-tally against an Imps defence that has recorded a solitary shutout on home soil in League One this season.

Wycombe’s opening eight League One tussles on the road have averaged an eye-catching 3.75 goals per game, with Over 2.5 Goals banking in seven (88%) of them – and given the same has paid out in 6/7 (86%) of Lincoln’s league outings in front of their supporters – I’m happy to have a play on there being three or more goals in Lincolnshire on Saturday afternoon.
