After making it back-to-back winners in Rome on Monday night, Thursday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me delve into the Conference League, and I’ve highlighted a goals-based selection in one of the fixtures.

Fiorentina will look to overturn a one-goal deficit as they welcome Panathinaikos to the Artemio Franchi on Thursday night in the second leg of their Conference League last-16 tie in a fixture that once again appeals to me for goals.
Raffaele Palladino’s hosts have scored 24 goals across their opening nine matches in Europe this season, with 15 (63%) of them coming in front of their supporters.
La Viola have found the back of the net in all nine (100%) of their Conference League contests, notching on multiple occasions in six (67%) of them – including in all four (100%) on home soil – and will be expected to at least breach a Panathinaikos backline that’s kept just one clean sheet in their last five away matches in Europe, with that coming against perennial Welsh champions TNS.
Rui Vitoria’s visitors have scored 19 goals across their opening 11 Conference League contests this campaign, with 12 (63%) of them coming across their last five matches.
The Greens have made the net bulge in all 11 (100%) of their Conference League clashes – striking on multiple occasions in four of their last five – and will look to trouble a Fiorentina defence that’s kept just two clean sheets in Europe this season, with those coming in their 7-0 thrashing of LASK and also against TNS.

Panathinaikos’s opening 11 Conference League contests this term have averaged 2.91 goals per game, with Over 2.5 Goals paying out in three of their last four and five of their previous eight.
The first leg in Athens last week was a five-goal thriller – and given the regularity these two sides have found the back of the net in this competition – I’m happy to back another high-scoring encounter at The Franchi on Thursday night.
