Saturday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to Aberdeen, and I like the look of the hosts to keep up their fantastic scoring record in front of their supporters.

⚽️ Aberdeen vs Dundee United

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Premiership

⏰ Saturday 12th November, 18:00

Aberdeen will look to maintain their strong home record as they welcome second-bottom Dundee United to Pittodrie on Saturday evening.

Aberdeen suffered yet more away day misery on Tuesday night, as they were defeated 2-1 against Livingston. However, it’s a different story for Jim Goodwin’s side at home, with their 4-1 demolition of Hibs last Friday making it five wins out of six and four wins on the bounce at Pittodrie. The Dons have found the back of the net 21 times across their six home fixtures on home turf, scoring on multiple occasions in each of them.

Dundee United come into this match off the back of a morale-boosting 4-0 victory over relegation rivals Kilmarnock last night, meaning it’s now three wins from their previous four at Tannadice. However, like Aberdeen, United tend to struggle on their travels, with them being one of only two sides in the Scottish Premiership yet to win on their travels. Liam Fox’s side have registered just a solitary clean sheet on their travels in the league this season, conceding 14 times across their opening seven road trips.

Bet of the Day

It has been very well documented the struggles that Aberdeen have endured when playing away from home in the Scottish Premiership, but it’s a different story at Pittodrie. The Dons have won five of their six league matches as hosts, and they’ll be confident of defeating a Dundee United side yet to win on their travels this season.

Aberdeen have scored a whopping 21 goals across their six home fixtures in the Scottish Premiership this season – netting on multiple occasions in all six of them – and I like the look of them bagging another double against a Tangerine defence that’s kept just one clean sheet away from home this season and who have shipped 10 goals across their three meeting’s away to last season’s top three (Celtic, Rangers and Hearts).

  • Aberdeen to Score 2+
  • Pays 10/11 (Paddy Power)
