Looking to return to winning ways after frustratingly falling a goal short in Lisbon on Saturday, Wednesday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on the penultimate round of the Scottish Premiership season, and I’ve highlighted a goals-based selection in one of the fixtures.

It’s a massive game as Dens Park on Wednesday night as relegation rivals Dundee and Ross County face-off in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.
Despite their position in the table, Tony Docherty’s hosts are the fourth-highest scorers in the Scottish Premiership, slamming in 54 goals across their opening 36 matches, with 33 (61%) of them coming on home soil.
The Dark Blues have made the net bulge in all bar two of their opening 18 league outings in front of their supporters – notching on multiple occasions in nine (50%) of them – and will look to breach a Staggies defence that has kept just four clean sheets across their previous 17 road trips, shipping 2+ goals in 10 (59%) of them.
Don Cowie’s visitors have scored 35 goals across their opening 36 Premiership matches this campaign, with 14 (40%) of them coming on their travels.
After failing to score in six of their opening seven away matches this season, The Staggies have made the net bulge in seven of their next 11 – notching on multiple occasions in four (36%) of them – and will look to trouble a Dundee defence that has kept just three clean sheets in the league this season, conceding a league-high 76 goals.

Dundee’s opening 36 Premiership fixtures this season have averaged a joint league-high 3.61 goals per game, with Over 2.5 Goals paying out in 26 (72%) of them.
Those numbers rise even further when playing at home, with their 18 Premiership fixtures at Dens Park averaging a staggering 3.94 goals per game, with Over 2.5 Goals banking in 15 (83%) of them.
Ross County’s previous 13 Premiership clashes on their travels have averaged exactly three goals per game, with Over 2.5 Goals landing in nine (69%) of them.
What’s more, the last two meeting have produced seven goals – with Over 2.5 Goals paying out on each occasion – and I’m expecting the goals to flow at Dens on Wednesday night.
