Rangers will look to address their terrible away record as they travel to Dens Park on Thursday night to take on eighth-placed Dundee in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.
Tony Docherty’s hosts are the third-highest scorers in the Scottish Premiership, slamming in 33 goals across their opening 21 matches, with an impressive 21 (64%) of them coming on home soil.
The Dark Blues have made the net bulge in all bar one of their opening 10 league outings in front of their supporters – notching on multiple occasions in six (60%) of them – and will look to trouble an injury-ravaged Rangers backline that has shipped seven goals across their previous three Premiership contests on the road.
Phillipe Clement’s visitors are the second-highest scorers in the Scottish Premiership, slamming in 37 goals across their opening 20 matches, with 12 (32%) of them coming on their travels.
The Teddy Bears have made the net bulge in each of their past 12 Premiership encounters – notching on multiple occasions in five of their past seven – and will be confident of breaching a Dundee defence that has registered a solitary shutout in the league this season, shipping multiple goals in seven of their previous nine at Dens Park.

Dundee’s opening 21 contests in the Scottish Premiership this season have averaged a league-high 3.33 goals per game, with Over 2.5 Goals paying out in 15 (71%) of them.
Those numbers rise even further when playing at home, with their 10 Premiership fixtures at Dens Park averaging a staggering four goals per game, with Over 2.5 Goals banking in all 10 (100%) of them, with nine (90%) also producing goals at both ends.
