Sunday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to the Chinese Super League, and I’ve highlighted a goals-based selection in one of the fixtures.
⚽️ Zhejiang FC vs Wuhan Three Towns
🇨🇳 Super League
⏰ Sunday 27 July, 12:35
Two clubs separated only by three points in the Chinese Super League table meet in Hangzhou on Sunday lunchtime as eighth-placed Zhejiang hosts 11th-placed Wuhan Three Towns in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.
Raul Caneda’s hosts have fired in 32 goals across their opening 17 Chinese Super League fixtures this season, with 19 (59%) of them coming on home soil.
The Green Giants have found the back of the net in all eight of their league outings at home this campaign – notching on multiple occasions in each of their last seven – and will be confident of breaching a Wuhan Three Towns defence that has registered a solitary clean sheet in the Chinese Super League this season.
Wuhan Three Towns have scored 23 goals across their opening 17 Chinese Super League fixtures this term, with seven (30%) of them coming on their travels.
After failing to score in each of their opening three Chinese Super League contests this season, Deng Zhuoxiang’s visitors have found the back of the net in 12 of their next 14 – only failing to score at home to Shanghai Port (3rd) and away at Shanghai Shenhua (1st) in that run – and will look to breach a Zhejiang defence that has kept just two clean sheets across their last 21 Chinese Super League matches on home soil.
Bet of the Day
Zhejiang’s opening eight Chinese Super League fixtures on home soil this campaign have averaged an eye-catching 3.75 goals per game, with seven (88%) seeing goals at both ends, whilst each of the last seven have gone Over 2.5 Goals (3-0, 2-2, 2-1, 4-2, 2-2, 2-2 & 3-1).
In fact, Zhejiang’s previous 21 Chinese Super League clashes in front of their supporters have averaged a whopping 4.43 goals per game, with Over 2.5 Goals landing in a remarkable 20 (95%) of them, whilst 19 (90%) of them have seen goals at both ends.
Wuhan Three Towns’ opening 17 Chinese Super League clashes this term have averaged 3.18 goals per game, with Both Teams to Score landing in 12 of the previous 14, whilst nine of their last 13 have seen a minimum of three goals.
- Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals
