Following on from Saturday’s surprise goalless draw at Selhurst Park, Sunday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me take my first trip to the new Chinese Super League season, and I’ve highlighted a goals-based selection in one of the fixtures.

Two clubs separated only by two points in the Chinese Super League table meet in Wuhua tomorrow lunchtime as 10th-placed Meizhou Hakka hosts 12th-placed Shenzhen Peng City in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.
Milan Ristic’s hosts have slammed in 14 goals across their opening seven Chinese Super League fixtures this season, with nine (64%) of them coming on home fouls
The Wuhua-based club have found the back of the net in each of their opening seven league outings – notching on multiple occasions in five (71%) of them – and will be confident of breaching a Shenzhen Peng City defence that has conceded a joint league-high 18 goals in the Chinese top flight.
Christian Lattanzio’s visitors have scored nine goals across their opening seven Chinese Super League matches, with three (33%) of them coming in their victory over Changchun Yatai last time out.
The City Group outfit have found the back of the net in five (71%) of their league outings – only failing to score away at Shandong Taishan (2nd) and Zhejiang (7th) – and will look to breach a Meizhou Hakka defence that is yet to register a clean sheet in the league this season, shipping 2+ goals in 5/7 (71%) of them.

Shenzhen Peng City’s opening seven contests in the Chinese top-flight have averaged an eye-catching 3.86 goals per game, with Over 2.5 Goals paying out in six (86%) of them, whilst five (71%) have also seen four or more goals.
