Wednesday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me stay in the Scottish Premiership, and I’ve come up with a bet builder to get the reigning Premiership champions onside.

⚽️ Celtic vs Livingston

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Premiership

⏰ Wednesday 21st December, 19:45

Celtic will look to maintain their winning form as they welcome over-achieving Livingston to Celtic Park on Wednesday evening.

Celtic secured their ninth consecutive win in the Scottish Premiership at the weekend as a late Callum McGregor goal sealed a 0-1 victory against an ultra-defensive Aberdeen side. The Hoops still boast a 100% record at home in the league, winning all seven matches at Celtic Park. Ange Postecoglou’s side are the leading scorers in the division, scoring an eye-catching 51 goals across their opening 16 league fixtures,  finding the back of the net on multiple occasions in 14 of those matches – including all seven as hosts.

Livingston was last in Scottish Premiership action over five weeks ago, where they conceded in stoppage time to draw 1-1 away at Hearts. That draw put an end to their two-match winning run, but The Lions have now lost just one of their previous six league matches – albeit being a 0-3 defeat at home to their upcoming opponents. David Martindale’s side have failed to keep a clean sheet in each of their previous six road trips in the league, conceding on 12 occasions.

Bet of the Day

Celtic head into this encounter off the back of nine successive wins in the Scottish Premiership, and they still boast a 100% record at Celtic Park. What’s more, they’ve found the back of the net on multiple occasions in all bar two of their league fixtures this season, and I expect them to be too strong for a Livingston side that have been outstanding this season – but one they defeated 0-3 in the reverse fixture at the end of October.

To complete the bet builder, I’m happy to throw in the hosts to be shown a card and the visitors to collect at least two. Celtic have received a card in 13/16 of their Scottish Premiership fixtures this season, whilst Livingston have drawn at least one from all bar one of their 15 opponents this season. However, David Martindale’s visitors have been shown two or more cards in 10/15 of their league outings, with Celtic drawing multiple cards from 13/16 of their league opponents.

  • Celtic to Win, Celtic to Score 2+, Celtic Over 0.5 Cards & Livingston Over 1.5 Cards
  • Pays 11/10 (Bet Victor Bet Builder)
