Sunday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me take my first step in this year's Euro 2024 finals, and I’ve highlighted a goals-based selection in England’s evening fixture against Serbia.

England begin their Euro 2024 campaign in Gelsenkircken this evening as they take on Serbia in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.
Serbia finished second position in their Euro 2024 qualification group to seal their place in Germany. Dragan Stojković’s men collected 14 points from a possible 24 (W4-D2-L2), which saw them finish four points behind group winners Hungary, but three clear of nearest challengers Montenegro.
The Eagles scored 15 goals in qualification, scoring in each of their eight qualifiers—notching on multiple occasions in five (63%) of them—and will look to trouble a vulnerable-looking England defence.
Once again, the Three Lions cruised through their qualification group with ease, as they sailed through unbeaten, collecting 20 points from a possible 24 (W6-D2-L0), finishing six points clear of nearest challengers Italy and Ukraine.
Gareth Southgate’s charges scored 22 goals in qualification, scoring in each of their eight qualifiers – notching on multiple occasions in six (75%) of them – and will be confident of troubling a Serbia backline that is renowned for conceding goals, failing to keep a clean sheet in each of their previous six Euro 2024 qualifiers, shipping multiple goals in half of them.

After just four matches, the tournament has been full of goals, averaging 4.00 goals per game, with over 2.5 Goals banking in each match.
Given both side's quality in attack – as well as their vulnerabilities at the back – I’m hoping we continue the trend for goals at this tournament, and I’m happy to have a punt on there being a minimum of three strikes in Gelsenkirchen this evening.
