Sunday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to Ligue 1, and I’ve highlighted a goals-based selection in one of the fixtures.

⚽️ Marseille vs Toulouse

🇫🇷 Ligue 1

⏰ Sunday 1 November, 19:45

Plenty of entertainment looks on the cards at the Velodrome on Sunday night as Marseille hosts Toulouse in Ligue 1.

Bruno Genesio’s hosts have scored an impressive 18 goals across their opening eight Ligue 1 clashes this term, with 11 (61%) of them coming in front of their supporters.

Les Phoceens have only failed to score away at Rennes and Lille so far this season in Ligue 1 – scoring on multiple occasions in five (63%) of them – and will be expected to breach a Toulouse defence that has shipped multiple goals in 3/4 (75%) of their road trips.

Jens Berthel Askou’s visitors have scored 12 goals across their opening eight matches in the French top flight this term, with nine (75%) of them coming on their travels.

Les Violets have struck multiple goals in five of their past seven Ligue 1 outings – including in all four (100%) on the road – and will look to continue their recent potency in front of goal against a Marseille backline that has recorded a solitary shutout across their last seven league matches, shipping 13 goals.

Bet of the Day

Marseille’s opening four Ligue 1 clashes at the Velodrome this season have averaged a whopping 4.75 goals per game, with all four (100%) going Over 2.5 Goals, whilst each of the past three have produced goals at both ends.

Over 2.5 Goals has also landed in all four (100%) of Toulouse’s road trips in the French top flight this season – with three (75%) also seeing goals at both ends – and I’m backing another high-scoring encounter in Southern France on Sunday evening.
