After a shortage of goals in Turkey on Tuesday, Wednesday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to the Brazilian top flight once again, and I’ve highlighted a goals-based selection.

Two clubs separated by just two points in the Brazilian Serie A table meet at the Estadio Heriberto Hulse on Wednesday night as 15th-placed Criciuma plays host to 13th-placed Red Bull Bragantino in a fixture that appeals to me for goals at both ends.
Claudio Tencati’s hosts scored 30 goals across their opening 22 matches in the Brazilian top flight this campaign, with 16 (53%) of them coming on home soil.
The Tigre have failed to score just twice in the league this season – notching on multiple occasions in 8/22 (36%) of them, including in three of their last five – and will look to find the target once again against an RB Bragantino backline that has registered just three clean sheets in the league this season, with just one of those coming on their travels.
Pedro Caixinha’s visitors have scored 27 goals across their opening 22 matches in the Brazilian top flight, with 13 (48%) of them coming on their travels.
The Massa Bruta have found the back of the net in 19 (86%) of their league outings – including in 10/12 (83%) of them on their travels – and will look to get on the scoresheet once again against a Criciúma defence that has kept a league-low two clean sheets in the league this season, with just one of those coming in front of their supporters.

Criciuma are the Both Teams to Score kings in the Brazilian top flight this season, with a remarkable 18/22 (82%) of their outings featuring goals at both ends – and given the same has landed in 16/22 (73%) of RB Bragantino’s league outings, including in 9/12 (75%) of their road trips – I’m happy to have a punt on both of these sides getting on the scoresheet in Santa Catarina on Wednesday night.
