After returning to winning ways in Korea on Friday, Saturday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head back to the Brazilian top flight once again, and I’ve highlighted one side in particular who I’m keen to back to get all three points.

Botafogo will look to maintain their position at the top of the Brasileirão table as they welcome away-day strugglers Cruzeiro to the Estádio Olímpico Nilton Santos on Saturday night/Sunday morning in a fixture that I’m keen to get the hosts on side.
Botafogo saw their five-match winning run come to an end in midweek, as they shared four goals at fifth-placed São Paulo, meaning they still sit top of the Brasileirão, three points clear of second-placed Flamengo – albeit playing a game more.
Ex-Braga boss Artur Jorge has seen his side be strong at home this campaign, amassing 22 points from a possible 27 (W7-D1-L1), winning each of their last four.
Fogo have scored 16 across their nine home contests, but even more impressively, have conceded on just five occasions, keeping five clean sheets (56%), including in each of their last three.
Cruzeiro done the business once again at home for us in midweek, as they defeated Juventude 2-0 to make it eight wins from eight on home soil (W8-D0-L0) and land Wednesday’s Football Bet of the Day.
However, it’s a different story on the road, with The Raposa winning just two of their opening 10 Brasileirão away matches (W2-D2-L6), with both of those victories coming at Grêmio (18th) and Atlético Go (20th).

As already alluded to, Botafogo have won seven of their opening nine Brasileirão matches in front of their supporters (W7-D1-L1) – including each of their previous four – and I’m backing them to secure a fifth successive home win against a poor-travelling Cruzeiro side that has already lost away to Flamengo (2nd), Palmeiras (3rd) São Paulo (5th), Bahia (7th) and Atlético Mineiro (10th) this term.
