I ENJOYED a mixed weekend with my Championship bets. Leicester, Swansea and Portsmouth provided me with decent wins but I felt letdown by Ipswich, Millwall and QPR.
There's a full card tonight and best bets must be Norwich at home to Doncaster.
Donny have lost seven out of eight and conceded nine without reply in their last two outings.
They could be without as many as 12 players for the trip to Carrow Road and couldn't name enough subs at Swansea on Saturday.
Norwich are a tough nut for any side to crack but depleted Donny look to have an impossible task. Back Norwich at 8-15 with Ladbrokes and Betfred and consider Paul Lambert's men minus one at 11-8 with 888sport.
Preston did well to hold QPR at home and look on the up but I don't expect them to take anything from fortress Forest. The Nottingham side are unbeaten at home for the best part of two seasons and should win at 4-9 with William Hill and bet365 among others.
Leeds are unbeaten in nine at home and on a great run. They are keen to avenge a 5-2 defeat at Barnsley earlier in the season and should do so. Leeds are 4-6 with Ladbrokes.
Portsmouth are picking up and can get the better of Crystal Palace at home while Swansea can stay in touch with the leaders by beating off-form Coventry away.
In League One best bets must be Bournemouth against a Sheffield Wednesday side who have now conceded 15 goals in four games.
The Owls were blown away by Birmingham in the FA Cup and Dean Court's not a place for the faint-hearted. Back Bournemouth at 10-11 various.
Another side struggling big style are Plymouth and I expect them to be soundly beaten at leaders Brighton who are 2-5 with the likes of Stan James and William hill.
And Peterborough, who have amazingly conceded just one goal in two games, can use their newfound defensive skills to good effect at home to Colchester.
In League Two I'll be all over Chesterfield who ended a poor run by winning at Lincoln at the weekend. Bradford aren't as good as the Imps and should be opposed. Chesterfield are 8-5 with Chandler.
Recommendations
- Norwich -1 (11-8, 888sport)
- Leeds v Barnsley (both teams to score, 5-6, Skybet)
- Peterboro v Colchester (over 2.5 goals, 1-2, bodog)
