THE Six Nations got off to a thrilling start yesterday with Scotland taking the scalp of Ireland before England scraped past France for a record 15th consecutive win.
Wales round off the opening weekend action today against perennial wooden spoon recipients Italy in Rome's Stadio Olimpico,
The Azzurri haven't beaten the Welsh since 2007, suffering their heaviest defeat last year when thumped 67-14, but will be hoping for better under new boss Conor O'Shea and are 11-2 at Stan James for victory and 5-6 at Ladbrokes to score over 14.5 points.
A Wales win pays 1-5 at William Hill and they are evens at Betfred with a -12 point handicap.
In the Davis Cup tennis, Britain have two chances to win the point they need to secure victory over Canada. Dan Evans is first up and is 7-11 at Marthonbet to defeat Vasek Pospisil (10-7, Marathonbet) and if Evans loses it'll then come down to Kyle Edmund's match against Denis Shapovalov.
There's also the likes of snooker and basketball on today's sporting schedule so as usual let's hear all your tips and chat.
Morning all, it is your main man Max here, with my tips for the big one tonight. I went 4 out of 5 in the Championship game and I am back with my tips and value longshots for the Super-bowl.
Every man and his dog will have an a opinion on the Super-bowl, so no need for in depth previews, what we have tonight is two of the highest scoring offences going H2H in what promises to be a classic. New England average 27ppg and are 3rd in the league, while Atlanta O average 33ppg. The Total going Over will be popular but recent finals have gone Under, when the totals have been this high so be aware!
Super-bowl MVP Tips
Atlanta have the 8th highest scoring offence scoring offence in the league scoring 30+ in 13 out of 18 games, and if they are to pull this off then Matty Ice to win MVP looks tasty at 15/8 Skybet. New England have played the second half of the season without Gronk, yet Brady despite is ban earlier in the off season still finds ways to win games. His WR core isn’t elite and if you like the Pats to win then I cant see past Brady winning the MVP at 10/11 @ PP
If Atlanta cause the shock then I see value in the MVP market. Ryan looks tasty as I say, as does my main man Double J. I spoke about him during the playoffs Julio Jones, for me the best WR in the NFL. He has 4tds in the playoffs and destroyed the GB secondary for 180yds and 2tds he is worth a few quid in this market at 16/1 Various.
The other guy I like is a massive shout, but lets say the occasion gets to a few of the players and we don’t get Brady & Ryan marching up and down the field, then you want a defensive guy on your side. I would look no further than Vic Beasley. Belichick takes away your best player, so Dan Quinn to win this, HAS to put pressure on Brady at the right time, and use Beasley who has 15.5 sacks this season. If it turns into tight game a sack or forced turnover could tip this game.
Anyone recall Von Miller from last season winning the MVP??? Beasley is 66/1 for me it is a definite no brainer for a couple of quid.
Max’s Super-bowl MVP Tips
Brady 10/11
Ryan 15/8
Jones 16/1
Beasley 66/1
GL
In the scorers market, I like my man Double J to finally see some one v one matchups as the Pats D try to stop the run. Bill loves to take away a teams biggest weapon but this Atlanta side have plenty. Freeman, Coleman in the run and then in play action Matty Ice can go to my guy Mo over the middle. I like Freeman as he is a dual threat to find the red zone and Double J they are both 4/5 at Skybet.
In a Brady led offence if your on the turf you could get a catch and more than likely a TD. Blount, Lewis, Hogan, Edelman, Hooper, Bennett and Amendola. It is how you see the game going to who you go for in this market, for the Pats. I like Blount 4/5 (Bwin) getting into the Endzone with his size and power, and Edelman maybe Brady go to guy his main guy his missing in “Gronk”
In backup TE Bennett is a nightmare inside the red-zone with his size and height against the Falcons secondary backs, and if Brady is scrambling look for Bennett to be scrambling too. If so no D secondary back can stop hauling in a TD when they get inside the red zone. He is 2/1 Coral.

@jordan thanks for the double again mate..??..and nice 56/10 6-fold u hit there sir ??
And thanks @raoul-duke for the spurs line. didn’t get good odds on -10.5 late on so took -12.5 – still covered phew….on fire lads ??
Nice one man, back to winning ways ?
Thanks bro- helps a lot when you get a lot of encouragement on this thread to pick yourself up during a horrid run..??
I have posted my MVP and Anytime scorer tips above but now these are my player prop tips including my 3 NB. The prop tips are good for the neutrals who don’t watch the NFL but will watch the showpiece and want a flutter. I have decided rather than putting up a NAP to divide the points on 3 NB’s stakes to share with you all. Remember you don’t have to take them all.
I stated earlier that while I would love to see a high scoring Offensive game between two high scoring teams in the big game, the build up, the long half time show it can lead to an under’s game. While 3 of the last 4 Superbowl’s have seen Over 51pts scored in a QB driven league, Only two of the last 12 have seen this total of 59 broken. I am taking the Falcons+7 at 1/2 despite being a young inexperienced team, if they can out early and lead into half time, they can control the clock in the second half with Freeman and Coleman. They average 33ppg as stated earlier if they get to 28 then they could well be world Champions!
Matty Ryan dissected the GB secondary in the Championship game and faces a huge upgrade this time out and with the two B’s on the opponents bench he knows he has to keep clean. The Falcons must run the ball and/or use their RB’s out the back field to allow the passing game up open up. This is why I think Double J and MO Sanu can get their moments in the spotlight.
My next NB however is Freeman to cover his R&R at 89.5yds 17/20 Ladbrokes. Matt Ryan will have his eyes down deep looking for any one v one matchups with JJ, but the little dump off passes to freeman will keep Brady and his offence on the side lines. The Patriots have lost TWICE this season, both times they have given up big yards through the air to RB’s. In week 10 CJ Prosise ran for 66yds and caught seven passes for 87yds and Shady McCoy ran for 70yds and had 38rec yds and a TD albeit with Brady serving his suspension. It does give me a blueprint on how the Falcons may go about winning this game.
In the Championship game I tipped up MO as a under the radar guy who could have a big game against the pack, he did he burnt them landing me and my followers a prop and anytime success. I am sticking with MO again to cover 44.5yds at 10/11 and find the End zone at 2/1 Skybet.
Max’s NB Tips
Falcons 7+ 1/2
Freeman O89.5 R&R 17/20
Sanu O44.5yds 10/11
Max’s Super Super-bowl Tip
MO Sanu to score 2/1
Remember choose the ones you like, bet what ever you can afford. Enjoy the game it should be a good one and lets end the season with a few winners.

Spurs -10.5 @ 1.90 – ✔
76ers/Heat – Over 207.5 @ 1.90 – ✔
Pistons +3 @ 1.90 – ✖
As expected Spurs destroy a tired Nuggets team, a 24 point blow out win.
The 76ers/Heat total sailed in, just disappointed that the Pistons collapsed in the 2nd half, making a combined 25 points over the last 2 quarters… terrible.
Well done winners.

It’s like you’re really Max ;)
Meant to post earlier thanks to Raoul n Jordan woke up to some nice profit for a few $s.

German Masters Final
Carter -2.5 – v Hamilton – 11/10 Betfair
Carter to win first session – 10/11 Betfair
Carter o0.5 centuries – Evs 365
As you can see all about Ali Carter for me. Hamilton admitted previous to yesterdays semi that he was struggling with tiredness and his mentally draining game last night that went on till 1am German time last time certainly didn’t help that. Probably at least 2.30 am before he got near his bed having to do media after the game. Carter on the other hand eased into the final with a 6-2 win yesterday afternoon and has only lost 9 frames all week. He should have plenty left in reserve and I expect him to come flying out of the blocks, getting ahead early and staying there. He has made centuries in 3/4 games (only one he didn’t was when I backed him to make one) so far this week so the Evs about making one over the extended game looks decent.
Not sure if there has ever been GAA tips on this site before but I’ll give them a try. The Irish NFL has started this weekend, ironically when the American one finishes and I’ve a few fancies.
Galway win – v Cork – Evs StanJames

Only fitting to end a split week with another split day frustratingly.
12-12 week
Celtics -5 @ 1.90 – *PUSH*
Unfortunately for me the Celtics allowed ex-Celtics legend Paul Pierce make an open 3 with seconds remaining, nice sentimental thing for the him as he’s retiring, but not so much for my bet haha. Out of respect Iasiah Thomas allowed the final seconds to run down, and let Pierce enjoy the standing ovation, Celtics win by 5.
Fell short by a a couple baskets in Boston. Onto the Super Bowl.

Portland Over 101.5
Celtics/Clippers Over 212.5
43/50 @ Skybet – 2.5 points **LOSE**
A players yards who I thought were low when the lines came out was rookie Malcolm Mitchell. He had a few breakout games for the Pats this season but dropped off towards the end with a knee injury. His line first came out at 22.5 @ PP which I thought was fairly low. He had 21 targets over his last four games with only one target against a stout Broncos secondary. He had four targets in the Steelers for only five yards, but it seemed Belicheck and Brady both trust the rookie enough to put the work in and I don’t think they’d shy away from it in the Super Bowl. Over 27.5 Receiving Yards @ 10/11 @ William Hill looks as good as any of the receiving props out there.
Tonight’s NBA:
Celtics over 108.5 team points
Thunder over 107.5 team points

Good luck lets hope its a classic.
