ENGLAND have made an awful start to the Cricket World Cup but if they lose to Scotland tonight it'll be an embarrassing new low.
Eoin Morgan's side are bottom of Pool A after heavy losses to co-hosts Australia and New Zealand and the pressure is on to finally get a win on the board.

Harrison really impressed me in Memphis last week, playing a superb match against Nishikori before eventually falling in three sets. He looks to have carried that form into this week where he’s kicked things off with a comprehensive win over Menendez-Meceiras, and while Russell will prove stiffer competition, at 36 I just don’t think he will have the legs to hang with a rejuvenated Harrison who seems to be playing his way back to the top of his game. Russell won just 35% of second serve points against Smyczek in the last round and hit 8 double faults to 1 ace. And I think Harrison is playing well enough to beat Russell even if he was at his best right now.
Schiavone is in super form, following up her 5 impressive straight sets wins in Antwerp last week with a 3 set win over Bencic yesterday in Doha. She now takes on a less talented Swiss in Voegele, and while Voegele can be dangerous on a fast court on her day, it’s been so long since she produced. Schiavone, if she plays like she has been, will be too steady and too classy for Voegele, unless we see a dramatic improvement from.

I wouldn’t put Monfils in anything that a silly long shot that’s almost certain to lose anyway. I do think he will probably win though. He’s been impressive this week and has turned the screw exactly when he’s needed to to win every set. Simon has shown flashes of his best but hasn’t been in that red-zone where he’s impossible to break down. If Gael keeps his head I think he’s got this. But we shall see. If Simon brings his A game Gael will have to be razor sharp.

The world club challenge is here and what a game it could be. South’s are the bookies favourites to win and are giving up 6pts on the handicap by most bookies. It is -4 at 10/11 with Bet365, and whilst I would love to see the saints win, I cant see past a win for the Bunnies.

Lisicki matches where the odds are fairly even aren’t really worth betting on in my opinion. You just don’t know what you’ll get from her. But my guess is she loses tomorrow. Strycova is playing pretty well and is steady enough to make Lisicki pay for her error count (I’m guessing it’s pretty high!)

In what is likely to be little bit of a one dimensional serve fest the value is surely with the underdog. Vesely started the year in sensational form, winning the Aukland title and toppling some big names along the way. That was on a hard court though and, coming just before the first grand slam of the year, it’s often the perfect time to upset good players as they have one eye on Melbourne (Heather Watson won the WTA title which took place at the same time!)
Veseley hasn’t yet won a match on clay this year, though in fairness the two he’s played have been against Cuevas and Fognini. Against Fognini though he did very little other than get his first serve in. He made errors and generally didn’t play a good all round match. If Rola is on his game and Vesely doesn’t step his up he should be able to hang with Vesely on the service front and wear him down in the longer rallies they get in to. Maybe not, but worth a go anyway!
